Wow Tuesday already... here I sit, kids off to school... today was a 1/2 day for Blade to go to the daycare... so pretty quiet :( but its nice too... I can go get Blade in a hour:) and get a few things done yet, got lots of CLEANING and ORGANIZING done in the last few days... feels good but at the same time I CAN'T wait to have the house!!! The boys will be in their own rooms... YEAH!!! Its just amazing to me how 3 boys can make messes and how quickly they can do it! WOW... anyhow the true test at the new house is who will keep their room the cleanest... my dibs are in on Issac since he is a lot like me... in so many different ways but we will see... I have a bet going with the two older boys.
Lots been done at the house since I last posted, we offically have all new floors in the basement now to as level as they can get them, the upstairs bathroom is being completed today with the finishing touches of grout being put on. All bedrooms are painted with the exception of Mitch's room... should be done later this week or next week, as well as the bathroom painted and hallway painted. We now have gutters on the house... but the yard still looks like ass... but hopefully it will stop raining this week and that can be attacked :)
We had an awesome laid back weekend... friday night we met up with our friends, Jerry and Mel for supper, it was VERY nice to just sit and chill with them! Thanks for joining us guys! Saturday we were off to soccer in Bettendorf... boy, the boys played SUPER hard and both games were really intense, they should of won their 2nd game but in our eyes they did, its amazing how different this league is from Dyersville's... just really impressive how they play together and how much different Mitchel plays with these boys. So after games were over we headed for home, Jer and I decided we would go out for the evening... Molly was coming to watch boys later on, so off we were... YES we went to Houlihans again... place is addictive! but so GOOD!!! so after supper we thought we would do a movie... WOW... it was a HORRIBLE movie... I mean BAD!!! We went to see 'SNAKES ON A PLANE'... it was awful!! I should of known better to cave in like that considering "snakes" was in the title and all... since I HATE the site of snakes but anyhow movie completely SUCKED!! sorry Jer!!! There were only 4 people including ourselves at the show... whats that tell ya? We just should of called Ja and Billy up and went to 'BEERFEST' ... oh well next time that is the movie we are going to see :) It was a nice night thou, I did enjoy it... just completely out of line for the kind of movie I like to see... but ya know life is too damn short anymore... live a little, right?
Hrm.. Sunday what did we do? Oh the boys and Jer were off to the farm for the afternoon, I stuck around home to do some "quiet cleaning" then my sister called... my neice wanted to go shopping... and wanted her "aunt Lis" to come along... so off I was with them when I had great intentions of cleaning but I couldn't tell my neice "no"... I enjoyed it, got to help her pick a few things out and its nice shopping for a girl... especially when I dont have to do the buying :) So we got home about 6ish, then I went out to the farm, it was Jer's sister's birthday party in the evening, talked to the family a little bit and I dashed home before all the boys come storming in to finish up what I started in the living room... I rearranged furniture again to give it a new look... only so much you can do... but makes me feel better for awhile :) cuz we are going to be here for a month problably... so by the time I finished it all up the boys were home... and was time to get them ready for school... just can't believe summer is over already! After they were off to bed I stayed up LATE and did some organizing and cleaning and laundry... and Jer was OUT cold sleeping, he needed sleep! its just so unlike him to crash like that but it was GOOD!!
Blade ran around like a chicken for awhile and then the next thing I know he is crashed out behind the couch... it was SO cute!
Not much else is new, going to go get my haircut before I pick up Blade and the boys from school. Hope this finds you all well! O... we got a new camera but I haven't played with it much yet so when I get some cute shots of the boys I will be sure to post some.
Pray that we can move to 605 Garfield St. before the end of the month... (September that is) if you are around to help... all are welcome :)
Good place to share whats going on with me, my family, and well and my head...

The day has come... last day of fun summer for the boys :( but they are excited to start school again I think... hoping that we will have a good school year ahead of us, boys found out who their teachers were last night and saw rooms, etc... very hard for me to accept that Blade is going off to Preschool this year... where did the last 3 years go? He doesn't start though until Sept. 5th so I can prepare myself for that some more! When the day of Kindergarten comes I will be LOST!!! so thankfully its only two days a week at 1/2 days.
Well its been a LONG time since I last posted ... sorry about that, just crazy here! Well today is Wed., lots been done at the house this week... tile is going on in the upstairs bathroom... 3 out of 4 bedrooms are completely painted... they will do the last thing that has to be done in Issac's room tomorrow and then they will finish up the rest next week hopefully when Mitchel's room is "replastered"... they have to retexture his walls due to the plastering not sticking to wall :( Today gutters got on house... looks nice! the basement floors were coated with new cement, well I think that was done... not for sure... so hopefully lights can be installed soon and have some light action back upstairs:) Our room well is REALLY dramatic... but its cool! so unlike me to go that BOLD but I did it... and Blade's room turned out so CUTE... we took him up there last night so he could see the colors, his face was so darn CUTE... and he says "orange, WOW, and red and yellow" and then picked up the paint sticks that they used for stirring with the orange and red on them and just stands in the room and looks around... it was so CUTE!!! His favorite color is orange :) Just its getting exciting to see it all come together but have to keep the reality check going too... its going to be awhile before the "whole complete picture" is done.
I must say this week so far has been going well for my WW... got back on track... just need to stay focused, lots of fluids going in me this week.. hopefully I can weigh in tomorrow in DBQ since Mitchel has practice tomorrow night. Just need to pick up more exercising but I will get more of that in when the boys are back at school. So... Mel, sorry I wont see you tomorrow :(
Today Jer and I were off to find Mitchel a bed... still haven't found quite the right thing so we are going to look into having it made if its reasonable by a carpentar in town, the search however did get closer but its either the wrong color or too big or just something DUMB! Blade spent the day with us as well... he was very good overall... only had one incident when he was "attitude Blade" and was jumping on the beds at the stores, boys! The search for downstairs furniture started too but we are taking a lot of time and thought into this process and not rushing anything... $$$$ continues to talk :( high priority is upstairs and getting moved in soon.
Tonight, Mitchel had a Dyersville game, the kids sure did play hard but they lost... Mitchel had some really great plays, its so enjoyable to watch... just love being a soccer mom!!!
So anyhow... feeling stressed out lately... lots going on and school starting, its going to get me this way for awhile, but overall life is good!

Rain Rain go away! Well not much exciting here today... the boys and I had a "lazy day" we decided to go see a movie... so off were to see "BARNYARD" It was very cute, Blade laughed a lot, his little laugh is so darn cute it makes everyone around him laugh. When the movie was over I asked him what his favorite part of the movie was and he looks at me and says "all of it mom"
I could of died it was SO funny!! He is as smart as his other two brothers.
We left the movie and ran some errands before I had to weigh in at WW in DBQ, didn't get them all done but we got most of them ran and got all the last minute school supplies. Bad news... gained another 1lb:( SO mad... but its my own fault!!!! Hopefully next week I can be down 3+ lbs... NO more JUNK!!!!!!! and I have to get moving again! Hopefully when the kids go back to school I can free some time up to get exercising in more and use my membership at Anam Cara that I recently got!
We went and got some supper at Olive Garden and then the kids and I were off to home for the night while Jer went back to work at Miquels for a few hours. Kids were LOUD tonight... gosh I can't wait to get the house done... more space and we wont be on top of each other anymore... o the day is coming soon!
Not sure how things went at house today, didn't make it up there today... but I continued to work on the colors for bedrooms and making other little decisions for their rooms. I've been on the "hunt" for wall letters for Issac's room... I found some tonight that were not riduculously priced so I was happy!
I made my goal today... only 2 DP's today!!!! I need to work harder on drinking more water and tea again!
Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Boys will be Boys ...
Here is Mr. Issac with his new wheels... he is learning rather well... but the bike is WAY bigger than he is... we keep telling him he has to drink milk to keep growing :) Pretty scary when Blade is catching up to him in weight...
Here is Mr. Blade who loves to be photo-genic when he chooses to be... as you can see this was a GOOD day:)
Enjoy~
Its been awhile since I last posted, today was a beautiful day! I love this kind of weather!!! I am looking forward to the kids getting back into a "normal routine" of the school day life next week... just seems like this week we have been running alot to get dentist, physicals, etc all done before that time comes, need to pick up a few more last minute school items for the boys and they should be set to go, only draw back is I wished we could of been in the house before the 1st day of school but its ok... life goes on!
So yesterday was Blade's first offical dentist chair visit... he did well!!! He was SO cute walking into the room behind his godmother since she works at the office we went to... so it was exciting for Blade and her both, and NO cavities for any of the boys so that is a nice relief too! So all the appointments went well and as we are leaving Blade just keeps talking about how he got his teeth cleaned and he wanted to tell his daddy all about it:) it was a priceless moment!! We ran and got some lunch and headed home. The older boys were off to play as soon as we got home and Blade and I stuck around the aptartment, he played while I got some laundry and cleaning done and put things away from our shopping trip, phone kept ringing off the wall... it was CRAZY... so I packed up Blade and we ran up to the house to meet up with the plumber and one of the contractors... all is good... just needed some questions answered. Afternoon was here and gone and felt like I got little accomplished.
So for today, this am was an orthodonist consultation for Issac... he is going to need some othro work done after some more baby teeth fall out and has more permanent teeth in. We then were off to Sherwinn Williams to look at more paint colors on a bigger scale and narrowed down two more bedrooms... so have Mitchel's colors to "repick" and the bathroom color to work on yet as well as the upstairs hallway... LOTS to decide before Monday, I've been more "picky' about this than I've ever been on any project... I just want it to feel right as well as unique:) so yes... going for the extreme looks.
I also recieved a call before we left for Dbq this am, to help at Cranberry Hollow this afternoon (this is the NEW store that is renting my old spot) so we were in a rush to get back by 1:30 so I could work for the afternoon, I must say... I TRUELY enjoyed it!!! I was so happy she called and asked me to help her out in her pinch, it felt good to be back doing that kind of thing again, I DO miss it but I know this is where I need to be in my life right now, and I can enjoy days by helping when its needed. Did it feel strange? Yes and No... I was happy to be there, and seeing faces again and was familiar with the task... but it was a little strange having it be Cranberry Hollow... but I am SO SO happy for Tammy and glad it is working out well, she did a remarkable job adding lights and other little perks :) its my favorite store now well besides the GAP :) Yes I had to throw that in there...
So after I was done at the store, I rushed home to get Mitchel ready for soccer since tonight was soccer pictures... which I "forgot" about... he was panicing on the phone because his shirt was "lost"... but it was right where I said it was... Boys will be boys... then I was off to the house to make more paint COLOR decisions while I had "natural light" shining in windows. Issac's room is going to look nice... going all gray tone with a red stripe... pretty much decided! Completely changing Mitchel's colors again... too light! and will decide on hallway, bath, and our room when there is daylight tomorrow.
I have to get this done! As I was up there Dustin (our main interior contractor) pointed out to me that Mitchel's plaster is "falling off"... something was not mixed right in the plaster... like no glue or something... so for longevity its not going to last, and he pointed out how poorly the plaster around the trim was done... which I knew but didn't realize how BAD it was until it dried more... so hopefully it can all be fixed and a price can be adjusted... one more PROBLEM to add to our house
list:( As well as when the doors were carried upstairs to the attic... they were stacked on top of each other and now has dings and scratches in them... SAD about that:( but I guess its more character...
Also news for the house, the quote on the recent tiling guy we had came back a little high... so Jer called another guy in Dbq. and he came out to meet him today, so now we just wait to see what that comes back to be... but sounds like he can start right away after we confirm on the bid.
Also wonderful news for the day was... our carpet area rugs are done and we can pick them up :) YEAH!!!
And tonight Jason and Jer went to pick up our new bed we ordered... that was exciting! Thankfully they left it in the boxes for us so we could store it in the garage until its time to set it up... BOY I can't wait until that day comes!!! Now I just want to find a nice antique wardrobe and maybe a little dresser for our room, but want to get the bed in the room first to see how much room its going to take up. Thank you Ja for going with Jer to get it and for the use of your truck... "Blade likes Jason" he said that tonight when we were going to subway, it was cute!!
I want to thank Abby and Diane for coming up to give me their input on the colors I was looking at and they HELPED guide me the right way:) friendships are priceless!!! Billy thanks for coming up and getting lights up and running for Dustin! it will help him a TON, thank you!
So that's it for today, sorry it was a boring blog... but better than nothing I gues... also I wanted to send a message to my dear friend, Mel... my sincere condolences go out to your and your families at this time, thinking of you all!!!! Call me if you need anything! Your blog was so touching and peaceful... you made me cry! Hope to see you soon!!!!

Greetings from Chicago... Jer and I decided very much at the last minute that we wanted to bring the kids into Chicago today... so here we are! The drive seems to go faster and faster the more times we come here! We said all summer that we were going to bring the boys here before school started so today was the day... since the time clock is ticking for days now, and we are sure going to be busy with the house more and more as we get ready to move in soon.
Not sure what it is about the city... but I very much like it here, one of my favorite places to visit.
So today, We took the boys to Medival Times, the show was a wonderful experience for them!!! Very cool, I've never been to a show before so it was new for the kids and I ... a meal was included with the show... different... no silverware, so literally you eat chicken by hands, drink the soup... just all kinda weird but neat, the food was just ok! Thankful they had DP and coffee:) The boys were very much excited about the show, and Blade was SO darn cute!! he had all the flags in his hands cheering on our knight, it was just SO cute! Needless to say we were in a rush for time this am and left the camera at home... so no photos to post or to have for a album... but we did get one picture there as a keepsake, then Mitchel got all the autographs from the cast, so that was cool!
So after the show we ventured our way to IKEA... I LOVE this store!!!! The boys were however being "boys" very curious about everything and were being crazy... so it was a short trip but we got some things for the bedroom. I got LOTS of ideas stirring in my head now:) I'm really excited to actually be thinking about decorating the house now... it was just so hard to vision things and even to think about color or ideas... but now that the upstairs is plastered, its just feels good to know we will be living there soon.
I sit here by the poolside at the hotel watching the boys play "chicken" they are ALL boy!!! and definately ALL Miller!!! I can't believe how Mitchel is turning into a fine young man... he is just so wonderful with Blade and Issac is too but they are different with him in their own way... may sound crazy to say that but they are, they are a GOOD group of brothers!
So we just got done having some CHICAGO pizza... it was SO yummy!!! We got nacho and cheese too since we are the family of our chips and cheese and we seem to get them on every "outing" we go on like this, but however they sucked:( oh darn!
So tomorrow we are going to get some school shopping done, getting the kids school pants, shoes, etc... hope it goes smoothly since the boys HATE to shop for clothes, but at least its still 'uniform pants' we are only buying yet... so its simple but Issac is picky like his mother... so could be rather interesting.
So lets back up to yesterday's day... Most of the day I did cleaning and got ALL the laundry done, what a GREAT job done! Just seems to never end with boys... but anyhow I hung out at home most of the day and got a LOT accomplished. Jer worked in the am, met up with a painter contractor and then came home... he took Issac and Blade to the farm so Issac could ride his motorbike, Mitchel went to a birthday party with his friend Quinton.... so I was home alone... NICE!!! I got a lot done while they were out and about. Jer said that Issac is doing well on his new bike but is very cautious too, which comforts me to know! because I was scared getting this bike since its much BIGGER than his old one, so as Issac was riding it, he tipped it and he was upset when he needed help getting it back up... since its heavier than his old one, so his pride was a little hurt but its just going to take a lot of adjusting for Issac to get used to this new bike.
So last night Jer and I went to DBQ, hit Houlihans... ran into my relatives and talked with my uncle Elmer while we were waiting for our table, it was nice visting with him. Well Houlihans was interesting... Jer ordered his normal drink (gin and tonic) and seriously chugged the sucker and was feeling very "buzzed" it was funny, so unlike Jer! but after the week he had it was completely needed, he needed to unwind!!! when he asked me if he could order another one as soon as his first one was gone I knew it was going to be a night for Jer:) So during supper he was acting all silly and funny... rather entertaining to see him like this and its very RARE! but having no real food in his body all day kinda set him off from the beginning... if you were around on Jer's 30th birthday party... this is how he was :) So anyhow after supper we were going to go to the BLUES FEST and meet up with Jenn and Dustin, but however my phone beeped and I had a message... their plans changed... so we drove up to Miguels so Jer could get his "expresso shot"... boy now with alcholol and caffeine in him... he was WIRED!!!! it was completely entertaining!!! But here's me... I'm tired and just "out of it" and well I guess simply stated... being a party pooper!
I really wasn't up for a movie, and I definately was not up for the bar atmosphere, I just wanted to have a nice relaxing night of nothing... but I needed a few things at Target so as Jer drank up his expresso, I ran in quickly to get the things we needed and then he came in to meet up with me... and then off we were. I think we are getting offically OLD... it was like 10ish at night or not even and we had no plans on what was next... how pathetic are we? I was up for ice cream... so off to DQueen we went... hung out there and ate our ice cream... then we were off to Miquels for some ice tea, we decided that it was time to look for a new camera seriously so that is what we did the rest of the evening... is hung out and looked at cameras online, definately not going to be able to get a "cute and small" one like we currently have but the one we are looking at will have more options and hopefully be as good of a camera to us like our existing camera... we've had this little thing for over 5 years but its time to update. I felt bad... I think Jer was really up for doing something fun but my mind was in other places... kept thinking about what I needed to get done at home, what needed to be decided for the house, getting my list ready for the week, thinking about the people at the inn this weekend, kids school stuff, and goes on and on... BLAH... couldn't just unwind like him... but I was sure glad he did!!!! I should of tried harder!!! sorry Jer!!!!
So this week... my mom and I are going to get all the wood work upstairs cleaned up, hopefully the windows will get all stained this week, and we can get the floors buffed, put the doors all back on, and maybe get some lighting going up there so we can work in the evenings if we need to. Hopefully progress will be made in the attic as well as the bathroom getting started at some point, we now have a "flooring guy" again so this is a HUGE relief!!!! Hopefully the the final decisions on paint colors will be wrapped up by Wednesday, just need to figure out our room, and Issac's room and pick a different choice for the bathroom. I really want to push myself hard this week on my diet!!! hate the way I look!!!! I need to be focused this week!!!
Well I wish you all a GREAT week!! Stop by the house if we are there... we would love to see any of you who are our friends!!
Until I blog again, hope you are all well!!
Not sure what it is about the city... but I very much like it here, one of my favorite places to visit.

Happy to report our house is making headway :) ... our upstairs is completely plastered :) it looks good! I'm not really a big fan of textured walls but we had to go with that for our upstairs since it was "repair of existing" plaster but it did turn out looking nice, I'm very happy with it. We picked out the rest of the "styles" of plaster for the walls downstairs on Tuesday night, and we are going to keep the feel the same throughout the house so it feels "old"... we picked a variety of styles, just hope it looks good together, When will the downstairs be plastered? hrm... isn't that the ? of the hour... well hopefully when our contractor returns from his vacation...
Later on on Tuesday I met up with our painting lady to go over colors for upstairs since a week from this coming Monday we can put color on the walls ... so exciting! At that time I was very undecided yet, I am just really taking my time on picking things out because I want it to feel right, and when I see the color I know it will feel "right"... I know goofy but its the way I am :)
Well on Wednesday... Jer and I were off to Cedar Rapids to look at tiles for the downstairs bathroom and to look at a few other things, and to meet up with our countertop guy in Anamosa ... lots of progress was made this day, we pin pointed out what our countertop is going to be, we are going with a "Midnight Pearl" granite, just need to get the final measurements to him and that will be ordered, also we both decided that in our "foyer" we are going to put granite floor in, we brought home a few sample boards and a big peice that we really liked over there... but just wanted to see it in place, so home it came... and now I think its decided... As for the bathroom tile for downstairs, I have a "cream/whiteish marble tile picked out with an rock accent peice, it wasn't not a "solid" decision but after I brought it home and put it in the room... I liked :) so its all good!! Now we just need to get that bought sometime soon. We ventured to "Granite City" (a eatery) in CR... awesome Potato Soup... (Jerry and Mel, you must go there!!!! since I know how much you like the soup at Houlihans) Very good food! and no I didn't have chicken strips... I ventured out and had the Chicken Linguni, IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!
Feel so behind here... So ok we are onto Thursday, I spent most of today making decisions on paint for bedrooms, putting ideas together in a book so we have it all in one area for on the go... huge job but felt good seeing it all together in a binder for when I need to go somewhere and need all this stuff, its all organized! Spent the day just at home with Blade doing laundry and keeping things together... still need get the laundry all caught up... just hate it here! I have 3 boys in ONE room and no where to go with their clean clothes and to keep their room clean is a JOB!!! I just keep telling myself... SOON SOON we will be in the house and they will have their own space, its just hard getting to that point! Also Thursday is my WW day, sad to report, I gained 1lb, feel off the track this last week... but will get back and work harder at it this week! The boys and Jer went to the pool in the evening... a Blade story to tell... Mitchel was with Blade by the 4ft/5ft area and little Blade just jumped in before Mitchel even got in the water... Blade was perfectly FINE... didn't like drown or anything, he purposely sat at the bottom of the pool for awhile and when Mitchel got in the water, Blade was laughing when he was pulled up by Mitchel... but the "big brother" was scared!!! which I was too when they told me this little story... Blade is sure a daredevil! I'm glad he likes the water though..., I was a FISH when I was a kid... I lived at the pool in the summers... so for me this is a HUGE thing that my boys like water, so happy!! I didn't swim because I was coming back from WW and I wanted to get somethings done at home but turned out that Kevin and Lisa wanted to go for supper with us... so they came to the pool to watch the boys swim so ... then I sat there with them and watched the boys too... but I probably should of went home and did something productive... oh darn! So we were off to supper and then home for the night... I kept looking at paint samples and matching it up to the bedding, carpet samples, etc... and still baffled! Mitchel wants a LOT of blue in his room... Issac wants red/grey mixed... for Blade's room I want to do the primary colors in his bedspread... but nothing striked me... so at this point I was still debatable...
Well today is Friday... LOTS of happy progress for Lis :) Got some laundry and cleaning done today, met a few people for little jobs at the house in the up coming week, picked out the stain color for windows upstairs so we can start on them this week, confirmed things on the countertop. I put some stuff together today and packed a bag to go to Sherwinn Williams to meet a "paint consultant" to help me pick out some colors or to tell me what she thought of my colors I had picked out... So as for Blade's room... pretty definate I am doing primary red, orange, and a paler yellow like I had planned but she suggested a different yellow just so the "sunglasses" wouldn't be needed when you walked in :) so each wall will be a different color, for Mitchel's room ... a little deeper "baby blue" with a "mocha" color, two walls of each color, I love the those combinations! and am happy that Mitchel likes them too! For Issac's bedroom and our bedroom... well I forgot to take Issac's sample of bedding in.. DUH me! and our beddding was just ordered this week so I have to wait until that gets in... for the upstairs bathroom... no definate decision yet... the consultant picked out a real soft tan... which I am not in favor of... but I will give it a chance at the houe before I decide for sure.... the hallway color upstairs is still undecided as well, but was happy with what was done today as far as paint... two/three rooms down, another 12 to go... decisons decisons...
Also tonight Jer and I started looking at furniture, this was FUN! We have all the beds bought except Issac's bed... and wanted to get a start on picking things out for the attic since this will be our "family room" until the main floor is done. So accomplished tonight was some of the furniture... since the attic entrance and hallway is narrow we needed smaller furniture to lug up the steps ... mission accomplished! We bought a curved chaise that seats two... very cool... its a midnight blue, microfiber material (Jer picked out) so this was EXCITING... it will be come in about 3 weeks so its perfect. So we were also looking for a "futon" but not a cheapy one... a nice one, so we went to the BEDSHOP just to look... well just so ended up we picked it all out and ordered one since it was going to be a few weeks before it came in... so we picked out a oak mission style futon frame, nice matteress thingy... and the cover... its definately all boy... got a cover with "speedway and race cars" on it, very "retro" looking but its fun! Jer's pick again... he did well tonight! Since this is where the boys will hang out the most after the house is "complete" we wanted it geared towards the boys, so tonight was a huge success!! even picked out the carpet for the flooring up there as well as a paint choice... so we are going in a happy direction for the attic :)
Ever have the new pizza at Panera? Sure is yummy!!!!!! Blade even liked it... Jer got pizza tonight for his supper and I had a little peice, its SO good!! I had my usual:)
So hopefully this weekend will be somewhat relaxing... I'm planning on cleaning and getting laundry all sorted and put away tomorrow and then tomorrow night Jer and I are going to go out... probably to Houlihans and maybe a movie, its been awhile since we did that. I have all the school shopping done except for clothes forthe big boys and little Blade's school supplies... water spill on his supply list so ... need to get a new one and get going on that before its all picked over. I'm so not ready for school to start! just really wanted to be in the house before this school year started, ho hum... life will go on!
So until I write again, hope you all have a great weekend!

Well today was a ok day... rather stressful in our house lately, Jer has been having a rough last few days with work crap... hopefully he can feel better about things soon! I ask all of you to think of him this week and say a prayer or two :) so things will brighten up for him...
On a lighter side... the house made LOTS of happy progress today :) The bedrooms upstairs got plastered today... they look amazing!!! So happy with the look, makes it look like a new house... looks so different. They didn't get it all done thou, they have Mitchel's closet to finish and they have the upstairs hallway to do yet... but its really looking more and more like a home... YEAH!!!! So tonight I was really playing with the paint swatches, trying to figure it all out... but I have all this week to pick things out and I am going to make sure its what the boys and I both want for their rooms. Our new bedding and bed frame for our bedroom got ordered today... EXCITING!!! Over the weekend we ordered carpet for the bedrooms so we could have them made into area rugs for the bedrooms, we bought our outside door lights... and looked at bathroom tiles for downstairs but nothing really striked us so we will keep looking. Last night our "name stone" above the door was put in... its LOOKS SO COOL!!!!! If you drive by or walk by... check it out!!!
Also today boys went to the farm, they had a good time from the sounds of it... Mitchel had to come back to town for his "sports physical"... yes he is old enough that he has to have one this year if he wants to be involved in sports... scary, my boys are growing up TOO FAST!!! So after Mitchel's physical he wanted to bike back out to the farm... I thought he was joking... but he wasn't... so he and his friend, Quintion biked out to the farm... I made him take his cell with him and checked in with him on his progress... time got away on me and when I called him it was like 25 mins or so later and he was already there... JEESH!!! they didn't waste anytime getting here and they made it safely there is the BIG thing!!! He was SO proud to tell me that he was there already... I was SHOCKED but he likes to bike and when we were in CO... they biked a lot further than what he did to the farm and on steeper and rougher roads.
So while the boys were gone, I ran some errands, ran Ms. Sophie's birthday gift to her, went to mom's... and came home to do a few things here... then it was time to go meet our plumber at the house... and that is when we saw the new plaster on the walls upstairs... it was pretty darn exciting!!! Then we were off to go meet up with the plastering guy to pick out our finishes for downstairs... its all picked out and will be started within a few weeks... I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!
Tonight was a night for just Jer and I... we got a sitter and went into DBQ just to get away for awhile, went to Applebees for supper and got a few groceries and came home but it was a nice little outing.
Not much else to share today... pretty boring... I know but I'm not "slacking" on my blogging... makes me feel better when I at least write something to my "avid" readers. Hope you are all well!!

Ok... hello friends, here I am a week later... sorry for no blogs recently, it was a living nightmare while Jer was in the Urkraine, SO SO SO glad he is home now!!!
Just to inform some of you what did happen last week... well Mitchel's bike was stolen sometime on Wednesday between the hour of 2pm-3pm, I honestly at the time just blew it off thinking "oh some kid borrowed it and will return it" and Mitchel was persistant that "no mom i just rode it, someone really did take it" so I said lets wait awhile and we will see if it shows up, at the time I thought it was the right thing to do... well Thursday afternoon while Mitchel and Blade and I ran into Dbq. to do some school shopping, a quick trip... Issac went to the pool with his grandma Miller and friends, well after the pool... they came here thinking Issac wanted to come to the farm, so in the meantime while they are waiting for Issac, a neighbor of ours comes running into our apt. building looking for Mitchel or I... just so happened Jer's mom was still here... they told her that Mitchel's bike is across town, they found it but it was being spray painted as they were talking... so graciously my mother inlaw hops all the kids in the van and drives across town to approach this situation... WOW!!!! just stunned! So as she is pulling up, she told me that there were several boys sitting around watching this 18yr. old boy spray paint her grandson's bike... she gets out of the van and kindly says to the boy "this is my grandson's bike... what are you doing?" The boy looked at her and said "well I bought it from my brother", so Jer's mom has the 18yr old go get the "brother" who sold him the bike... a little 8yr old comes out of the apt. complex where this was taking place at... she was just stunned! So she decides to take the bike and put it in her van, comes back across town to locate a police officer... WOW what a run around for her... no one was at COP SHOP, so she proceeds to go to the new "cheif's house"... no one home... so then her next move is off to the other officer who lives in town... finally she gets to talk to a police officer... he was just going on duty but was still in his "street clothes"... makes no sense but whatever!
So anyhow this particular officer is "difficult" to deal with just on a "normal day"... so she was in for a "treat"... so he tells my mother inlaw that she will need to fill out a "report" and then he will go talk to the other party and be in contact with Mitchel and myself, but my mother inlaw said she could tell just by the officers body language and attitude he had with her he didn't want to "deal" with this issue... what a COP huh?
So in the meantime after the report is made, Donna had called my cell phone but I had left it in the truck while I ran into Shopko with Mitchel and Blade quick... so I called her back just thinking it was something on the lines of Issac going to the farm for awhile... oh no! She filled me in on the "story"... after she realized that I had no clue what she was talking about since I had just 20 mins. ago talked with Issac, so anyhow she filled me in on the story and told me that this "cop" would be calling me to see when we could meet him when we got back to town, she sounded all "frazzled" and felt very bad for Mitchel and proceeded to tell me the "WHOLE" story while we were pulling into our last stop for errands... my heart seriously dropped to the ground when she told me what "just happened" and how there was no one around in town to help her handle this situation 'on the spot'... what kind of law enforcement or protection do we have in this town? I want you to all realize this is so unlike Jer's mom to take a situation like this and go to authority on it... so I know this is how upset and bothered she was by it, just count my blessings she was in the right place at the right time!!!!
So we ran into Walmart very quickly and got our things there... and my phone is in the process of dying so I needed to run out to US Celluar to get a "car charger" for my phone since I recently got a different phone and didn't want my phone going dead before we got home, so as I am in US Cell... the COP called me, asked me when we could meet... I told him I would be back to town in about 1/2 hour... so as we pull up, we run our things inside quick, come out to look at the "damaged" bike... I was very emotional and shaking... I was so upset just looking at the bike!!! So as we are waiing for the COP to come... I in the meantime called a good neighbor of mine to come over since her son and Mitchel are good bud and thought her son had told her the situation... but no I ended up telling her... so she dropped everything and came to be at my side while the COP came over... so all I have to say is this about the "COP" situation... it was completely riduculously insanely handled so WRONG!!!!, too many details to type in this blog but point blank ... he wanted me to "shove this problem under the rug" and move on... simply because the other involved didn't understand "ownership"... well HELLO... that is not my kids nor my problem... and if they "stated" that they "borrowed" the bike but what justifies them spraypainting it?
So anyhow after the COP left us for awhile to go back and talk to the other party involved... in the meantime... a shitload of people in the apt. area... starting coming out of the woodwork, I swear... we were surrounded by certain indivuals living in this area... walked down by our vehicles where Blade was and another group of them walked towards my way... dont want to be racist but god damn... WHY do they have to make you feel intimidated... they all stuck around until the COP came back then they all filtered out... so they were all aware of the "situation"... so then the COP comes back with the two boys and it was just a flippin joke... he had the two boys apologize to Mitchel and gave him his "broken brakes and peices... that they had stated in their statement, they 'took them off'.... no they were VERY MUCH BROKEN OFF!!! I hated how this COP made me feel like shit for proceeding with charges and restitution on this matter... well crisps... the bike was only 67 days old and was destroyed! if any other person in this community would of done something like this... this COP would of been a hard ass like he should of been to these kids... but no he was a "good guy"... PISSES ME OFF!!!! GHAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So anyhow... did anything become of this issue yet... NO... I was to talk to the cheif on Friday... well the COP that handled our case told me that the cheif would be working on Friday... stopped 3x's at the station... finally asked the city clerk if the cheif was around... nope he was a a "personal day" I was NOW steaming since I was told by the ASSHOLE COP he would be on duty... so today I call down to talk to him... NOPE he's gone yet! By tomorrow if nothing is done, I will dig deeper into this and go to the BIG DOGS... I dont want to be the "bad" person either but damn it... they hurt my kid's feelings as well as his property... and its going to take a long time before Mitchel can let go what happened to him, as well as all of us who were involved, ya know? All I want is restitution... if I can get that without charges being pressed that is how we will handle it. Just so damn frustrating we live in a small town and we are supposed to feel safe here... I no longer feel that now...I couldn't even stay here in the apt that night feeling safe and WOW thats a feeling I had to hide from my kids, just didn't want to be here without Jer. How these certain people around me that live in these apts. made me feel... was INFERIOR!!! So the boys and I packed it up and stayed at my parents until Jer got back from his trip. So since this whole deal... I REALLY WANT TO GET IN THE HOUSE NOW!!!!! I mean MORE NOW than EVER!!!! Just hope things can really happen this week and next. Our main interior contractor has been helping Jer ALOT by being in contact with other contractors to line up scheduling and getting things done.
So I blogged enough in this blog... I'll start another one soon :) Just filling some of you in on why I haven't blogged in a WEEK... WOW!!!
Well its August... WOW summer is flying by, offically getting closer to school... like 23 days away.... feel bad for the boys, and I dont want them to go back yet. We haven't got the house done, we dont have all our little trips done yet, and definately not in the mood to go school shopping yet... but anyhow today I made all their physical appointments so guess I have to let them go back soon... was just hoping by a long shot we would be in the house by this new school year... O well life goes on for the Millers.
So today was a day full of excitement, my dad, I and MItchel and his friend, Quinton worked at the house for some of the day in this heat... but was not too bad since the air is running upstairs but it was still a little warm. We dug into the staircase walls by our open staircase and took it all down so it could be rehung with new cal board... what a job but a good job done, I think in the long run we will be happier we did do it... although I still think it would of been ok plastered over... but what do I know?
I appreciated my dad helping me out today, it really meant a lot!! Mitchel and Quinton worked really hard helping us dump the garbage into the dumpster to keep the process going. We stopped for lunch and went to Subway, then back to the grind for some more, I was happy with the progress we were all done by 2pm.
While I was at the house, ran into a little snag with a plastering contractor that we had talked to... for some reason he thought he "had the job" well not sure how he thought that since for starters never quoted the job out to us, never set a time frame for when he was available and so on... that was quite a bombshell dropped on me, so anyhow... talking to our current plastering guy again today, informs me again... we are 3 HOUSES down on his list, so may turn out we go with this other guy if he gets us a quote... ya know? FRUSTRATING!
Well boys are good, Issac watched Blade today while I worked on the house, he did rather well with him today, I was impressed!! even changed a dirty diaper, he could work on keeping his messes under control but it was all manageable.
Tonight was CRIME NITE OUT in Cascade, the boys went down to the festivities, I stayed here with Blade since he was napping late in the day and I was hot and tired from working at the house and I didn't feel too well when I got home, not sure what it was. So interesting rain we got tonight too... hopefully that will cool it off here for a few days... WISHFUL thinking I know.
So as far as my WW is going, I did well today... BACK on TRACK :) except for the few skittles I ate from the bag:( those little perks are needed once in awhile.
So as you all know Jer is in Russia this week, HI JER!!!! Got confirmation about 7am on my cell that he made it there, the annoying beep on my phone kept going off until I accepted the message, but I was happy to wake up to that :) So I was quite sucessful with this CRAPPY day but VERY happy with all that I got accomplished... house duties, cleaning, laundry, and being a mom :)
Just a kinda draggy day, think I am just tired of sitting on where we are at with this house project and this 2 bedroom apt. living is really starting to suck the BIG one... but life goes on and better days ahead!
Until I blog again... please say a prayer or two for my W.W. to stay on track and for a safe return for Jer to come home!!!!!

Weekend here and gone already, was filled with a friend's wedding, and a friends birthday party... along with getting some work done up at the house, where does the time go?
Well for today just a normal Monday, catching up from the weekend and Jer left today for Russia. He will be gone for the whole week and returns late Saturday night. Wishing he was home already. Tonight after I returned from taking Jer to CR it was a interesting night, I ran up to the house since Billy needed pictures of the electrical to pull some wires out that got covered by the wallboard, he was waiting for Dustin to come back with kitchen layout so they could get things pulled thru and change things around a little, this was all good... talked with Dustin about a few things since the "plastering guys" said they would be at our house this week starting today... then it turned into tomorrow... no big deal right? So Dustin had all good intentions of working tonight but now he has ALL week to get things done. Well I called the guy to touch base and to see if he could meet up with Dustin tomorrow about a few things... WOW what a huge load DUMPED on me tonight... he said that it was TOO HOT at the house, the AC was not keeping the house cool enough so they are moving on to their next job...WHATEVER it was cooled off up there tonight... and then he also continued to mention we are now 3 houses down on the list now since we weren't ready ... ARGH!!!! so it could be next week or mid August before they start now... I was PO'd!!!! So I flat out said to him, well we may need to find another option then... and he got all defensive, then he proceeded to tell me what needed to be done before they could come... just nit picking at dumb crap! FRUSTRATED... sorry!!!!!!!!!!!! I was completely steaming MAD!! So then I went back up to the house to give Dustin, the plastering guys cell #... and to point out a few more things that needed to be done, all good with Dustin, just hope he can get it done this week! The big thing that was decided tonight was redoing the existing staircase wall... well Dustin is going to redo it this week and get it done...so I was told, just really hope something gets done this week, I am to the end of my "tail" on this project... I'm going to completely loose it pretty soon :(
So anyhow boys are doing good! Mitchel went to his first Dyersville soccer practice tonight with a carpool so that helped me out a TON! Issac went off to the pool with Jake tonight, he was actually excited about going swimming for once... I was shocked! Blade played outside in the "mud area" by the apartment building... he was so cute dirty! He wouldn't let me take a picture of him so... this is the best I could do, and as I am taking this picture he says "Im a geek"... new word for him? not sure but first time I EVER heard him say that and I died laughing!
All the laundry got done today, I think I have a load or two to pick up at Billy's tomorrow but then I am done for a day ... isn't that how it goes? Its a job that never ends!!!!
Not sure what the week will bring for me... hope it goes smoothy and I can get a lot done here at the apartment like last week and make more decisions on the house... cuz there is a enough of those to do yet! May take the boys to start school shopping this week... only 24 days until school starts... and looks like we wont be in the house by then but hopefully sometime soon after that :)
So until I blog again, I wish you all a good week and stop in to see the house if you are in town!! it likes visitors :)

Well today is Thursday... WOW been awhile since I last blogged... not a whole has happened this week. Lets start with today...
well tonight was WW... I lost another 1.8lbs, I was happy with that considering we were on vacation and with the fair and had not been too good lately... so I will take that instead of a gain... but I need to crack the whip and get serious!!
So besides WW day, it was an productive day, I got A LOT done today, almost all the laundry caught up from our trip and got a TON of cleaning done as well... I can see the closet in our room again so that is HUGE PLUS!!!! I am starting to wean out the clothes that are too big and boxing them up... I need to now do that in the boys room tomorrow and go thru their stuff... Mitchel has GROWN alot this summer, he is as almost as tall as me... and my shoes no longer fit him.
So I was very happy how much I got done today and hopefully I can finish it up in the am tomorrow and enjoy the rest of the day with the boys.
Tuesday and Wednesday was cleaning days as well... yesterday the boys and I went to the house and Jer's brother Eric was there already doing a TON... we got the whole place pretty much cleaned out for Mr. Plaster guy who is being very picky about everything ... (with things being out of his way) which is fine but geesh enuf already... crisps!! Then he also informs me that once they get started... they dont like anyone coming thru the house... well guess what? thats not going to happen... its our house I can go in if I want and besides... ain't we paying this guy? or WOW!!!! just was frustrating when he was there yesterday telling us all the things we had to do and the things that had to be fixed... its not like we didn't know what had to be done... I felt like I was at grade school again... JEESH!!! So this will be interesting having him there the next few weeks after he gets started. As Jer's brother would say "he's never met someone who is so lazy" and that is what it all comes back to about this guy. Dont mean to complain but we just had it so good there with our brickers... got in and got out with the job and were so efficent and very easy to work with.
So yesterday being at the house I got LOTS of ideas stirring in my head... not sure if its a good or bad thing yet... I really have BOLD colors picked out so far but I am not set on them all yet but getting close... its nerve racking! I'm excited and nervous all at once now that its becoming a house inside, it was a BIG deal to have the electrical all done and when the lights came on it was AWESOME but now there are actual walls up and plastering is going to happen soon. I still dont get my hopes up about being in it anytime soon... cuz crap there is a lot to be done yet but its coming together. Oh and the other big news for the week at the house... the DOORS got put in!!!! finally!!!!!!!!!!!! and they were working on the AC for the main floor today.
So this weekend is booked to the hill and back... we have a wedding Saturday, tomorrow we are going to get some stuff done here and at the house... possibly go see a movie... Sunday we may just relax depending on whats going on. Next week looks crazy... soccer 4 nights next week... and Jer will be in Russia... very LONG week!!!
So sorry if this blog dragged the big one but... I am exhausted and need to finish up some bills yet.

Well back to reality today... livin the good life in Cascade again... the whole cleaning, laundry, running errands, and all the ordinary BS of everyday life... today was just an ordinary Monday, trying to get caught up from over the weekend and catching up from the trip yet... so yes I am almost there, a few more loads of laundry to do and I should be good for awhile. However I am going to start cleaning out closets and just getting rid of stuff before we move to the house from this tiny apt. to our HUGE house... wow that is such a nice thought... just need to keep that with me when the days here continue to suck... but anyhow its getting closer to reality of living in our house which is a GREAT feeling.
Today I had run some errands after I had Blade checked out at the dr., he had fallen off a swing last night with Aunt Lisa and was complaining this am that his hand hurt so we just got it checked out to be on the safe side... and everything looked fine, just a little tender from the bruising but should heal ok. So we went up to the house after the dr. appt and the PLASTERING guy was there :) that was exciting too see... but disappointing not to see Scott's crew there to finish up the little they have left to do... but our doors were delievered sometime today so hopefully they will come tomorrow.
So tonight was a BIG night for Issac... he is getting a new dirtbike... a step up from what he had, so he can start training for "racing" scary thought but I know its important to him and just feel we owe it to him since Mitchel has his thing with soccer and Issac really isn't into any sport... so HUGE deal tonight. We sold his other bike to his Uncle Skye so that helped with the cost of the new one, it all seems to work out well. Uncle Kevin, Jer and Issac went to get it tonight after we had pizza at Pizza Hut... Issac was so excited he didn't eat much and Jer said Issac was just "gleaming" when I talked to him on the phone... so its exciting!!!!!
I dont have much else to share today, except its my dear friend, MEL'S BIG 30th BDAY today!!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLIE!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you had a wonderful day!!!!!
Take Care, hope you are all well!

Wow what a weekend... its been completely crazy since we got home, but its the way I like it... complete CHAOS :) Thursday night after we got home I left shortly after and was off with some of my girlfriends to ERIC CHURCH/BRAD PAISELY concert at the fair, it was a WONDERFUL time, it was great seeing the girls again!! We had 3rd row center seats... and quite the veiw... Brad was HOT!!!! I thank my girls for a great night... sorry I was tired but had a hell of a good time!!! Here I come to find out later in the evening... Jerry (a good friend of ours) meets in him in person giving him internet service and not having a clue who he was... gosh I wish I could of helped him with his internet and met him!!!!!
So for Friday, was crazy too... Mitchel had an orthodonist appt in the am, he got a metal bar put in by his lower teeth so they can expand for his permanent teeth that will be coming in.... looked mighty painful but Mitchel was a trooper and said it didn't even hurt when I asked him, he just stated that the glue they used tasted awful. So after Mitchel's appt we went and ran some quick errands and headed for home, I got some little things done here in the afternoon but NOT enough!! Before I knew it was 4pm and I needed to be in DBQ again by 5... I was going to treat myself to a manicure and pedicure before I met up with Jer for the evening, we were going to go pick out a refrigerator and bathroom faucets, we figured it all out and will get them ordered this week thru the plumber and the appliance guy :)
Then Saturday came... there were sidewalk sales downtown so I went to check them out, I ran into Abby... it was great seeing her again!!! I missed you girl!!! So then I talked to Diane, she confirmed that going to the concert (Montgomery Gentry) wasn't going to work out for her so I had an open seat to fill... I called Ms. Jenn Supple Nadeu :) she wasn't sure at the time since of a possible commitment but it had turned out it worked for her to go... YEAH!!!!!!!! So I was off to my cousins daughter's wedding for the afternoon and Jer worked at a cafe in DBQ while I went to the wedding so he could get "caught up" It was a nice wedding, all my dad's brothers and sisters were there except my one uncle who just had his leg amputated... and saw all of my cousins again was a true treat... they all seem to pick on me the most... JEESH!!! I guess thats what you get when you are the youngest grandchild... right? So after the wedding we rush home, I change clothes and Jer takes the boys to get a bite for supper and then we are off to the fair... Jer was so kind he drove me and the girls over to the fair so we could all have a good time and drink... I was so excited about seeing this concert tonight and having Lisa and Jenn there was GREAT too... it was RIOT... my cheeks hurt so bad from the laughing, I really had a great time! The concert was AWESOME!!!!! We had front row seats tonight for this concert... they like stood right in front of us, oh it was great!!!! So at one point I gave Lisa my ticket so she could go her daughter Bridget... wow I didn't even recognize her... she is really growing up into a fine young lady... she is such a DOLL!!!! It was nice having young blood in the audience with us!!
After the concert was over we all headed towards the way of the beer garden, we ran into Jason... went and used up our beer tickets so we could be off to home after awhile, well here I suggest to Jason to doing the BUNGE JUMP with Jenn since I knew she said she was up for it earlier in the night... so off the two go to get in line, I was SO EXCITED for them two!!!! almost so much that I agreed to going and doing it too but Jer said "no"... prolly a good thing too since I had drank quite a few tonight and its been over a month since I last drank due to W.W. and said that I was not going to drink until my 10% was lost... so last night was the night I drank but NO MORE until I am where I need to be. So thanks to Jer for making the night possible... I hope the girls had a good time too!!!!! Jenn, you are a HOOT!!!! Thanks for the straight faces, we will get you to smile next time :) way to go girl about working on the guard :) too funny!!!!!!! We need to get you out more... its my goal in life after this house is complete, even if its just a shopping day :)
So today was the DAY... DEMO DERBY day..." Jer's old beaut" the grey lumina... was in the Monticello Demo Derby, his brother Eric drove it.... HOW FUN was it to watch!!!!!! Eric put a lot of time and energy to fixing this car up, he really should of won "best of the show"... but anyhow he did an amazing job putting it together and driving it! My boys were SO PROUD of their uncle, and when he came out on the track with it... he had a smoke stack on the front hood and just had it smokin'... into the grandstands... IT WAS COMPLETELY AWESOME!!!!! Mitchel and Issac were in their glory, as well as Jer and his brothers and all the spouses, it was SO COOL!!!!! Anyhow Eric did well, he made it on the first round and off to the "final competion" The car handled it well, Eric said that he had the AC on the whole time as well as the radio... which is TOO funny!!! Overall Eric ended up getting 9th place, which I hope he was happy with, he drove it well and maintained himself very well, we are all SO proud of him!!! So tonight there was a Miller family reunion at Jer's parents... all the aunts and uncles, cousins... everyone. We pulled in the yard and instantly walked over to "the old beaut" and Issac sat in it first and then Jer's brother, Skye jumped into it and started her up... we all laughed!!! So then I said to Jer... "get in" so off Jer goes to get in his car for one last time... started her up, blasted the radio... AC on... and drove it maybe 2ft for one last time... it was a classic!!!! I dont have a picture of that here but I will post it when I get it off the camera.... true classic!!!!! I'm going to frame the picture for our "bar" in the basement... for memories:) the moment was priceless!!!
Anyhow this blog is getting LONG... Sorry I apologize again!!!!!! bad tendencies!!!!!
Until I blog again... Iowa is HOT!!!!! Hope it cools off soon!!!!

Well here we are on our way home ... we are currently in Kearney, Nebraska. We left Denver about 3ish after going to meet some of Jer's co-workers and boss, and showed the kids where he was going when he came out here for work... Met up with all the people Jer talks about so now I can relate faces to them when he talks about them... ran into Andre' as well, its always a pleasure seeing him since he is so good to Jer! So after going to see where Jer works and meeting people we were off to lunch, the boys picked destination today, we went to ESPN to eat, pretty cool place, we sat next to the arcade and kids played some games and had a good time, then after lunch we got some shopping in before we took off, its not a Denver trip if I dont get my "homemade candle" these candles are AWESOME!!!! The only other thing I was looking for was a italian charm for my bracelet... I was SO happy when I found one :) puts a memory on my bracelet as well as a sounveir from the trip, corney I know but the bracelet means a lot to me!! Issac got this APE HAT, its so cute its funny... as you can see in the picture Blade loved hugging him... its was a HOOT!
So off on the road to home we were... boys rode very well!! Its just amazing to me how well Blade travels, there was only one time that him and Issac had a little "falling out" but then it was all ok. Blade went all day without a nap and was in a SUPER good mood all day, he is just incredible!! Its like 1030ish and he is still awake:) He rides better than his older boys sometime... jeesh :)
So funny things on the way home... when we made a "bathroom stop" we saw TOTALLY HIPSTERS... it was great! I mean the bus, the clothing, the hair... the walk... and even the keg in the bus storage... it was so funny to see, check out the picture... Jer drove away too soon to catch the keg in the picture... but seriously it was like it was out of the 70's, it was neat for th boys to see!
So on our way we watched more of the GILLMORE GIRLS... I just love the show!!!
So lots of thoughts today... wondering how things are back at home, my parents, how much got done at our house, how BUZZ, the cat made out in the garage without us, all our friends and family. The thing I didn't miss at all was the apt. living... not looking forward to going home to that at all but I just have to think... not much longer and it will be worth the wait of getting the house done... its just hard! Happy thoughts thou!!! This vacation was incredible!! the whole thing!!! I am so glad the boys had a great time doing all the fun things they got to do, and hopefully the summer will not go too fast once we get home.
Looking forward to tomorrow night... I am going to the "BRAD PAISELY" concert with some of my girlfriends... I just hope we get home at a reasonable time for me to get ready and to be off again... feel bad just getting home and then leaving again... WOW we will be home tommorrow already... time flies but I am looking forward to seeing home again and life outside of the Highlander for awhile :)
Hope this finds everyone well!!

WOW another great day of vacation world :) The boys and I ventured off to SIX FLAGS while Jer went off to work for the day. The boys were incredibly great today, we rode in a taxi to the park, it was funny because Blade just thought it was great that we were in a taxi... its the little things in life I guess, so we get to the park about 11ish and boys kinda mapped their day of what they wanted to do, we all got on the ferris wheel together, the ride of eternity I swear... So after the first ride I allowed the older boys to go check out the rides near by while I took Blade on rides he could do, our whole plan worked out perfectly, then we were off to lunch... WOW... $61 for lunch... crazy but oh well I guess.
After lunch we went the direction of the older boys rides and walked around while Mitchel and Issac went on rides, Blade was SO GOOD, he is such a trooper! We did go see the Japenese Acrobats, that show was AMAZING, I absolutely loved it!!! I was shocked the boys even liked it since I wasn't sure how they would be during it but so glad we took the time for the show it was SO worth it!!
So Blade's favorite ride was the "SEMI's"... he would get on, get off and get on ... at one point he just wouldn't get off because he knew the drill... too funny but I made him still get off even when he didn't want to because he knew he could just get back on... anyhow the little kids rides lines were a breeze, hardly any wait at all which was nice, and from what I saw when waiting for MItchel and Issac they didn't have to wait very long either... so it was all good!!
Later on in the afternoon Blade was getting tired so while Mitchel and Issac did some more rides we hung out at a bench in the shady area and chilled, Blade was laying on the bench all comfy and then he just perks up and says "lets go to semi's"... TOO CUTE!!! so we waited for the boys to finish their ride and we were off to Blade's section of the park, Issac decides he is going to go on a few rides with Blade, which Blade was VERY HAPPY about!! Not long after being over in this area Jer is here at the park... the older boys went off with him and I stayed with Blade, let him do a few more rides while Jer was off with the boys. We all meet up for a bit and I call it a day at the park so Blade and I went to get a taxi and headed back to the hotel, the boys and Jer stayed behind at the park to spend some more time there. Blade got his nap in, and I napped a little bit, called home to check in with mom to see how things were there... sounds like Cascade got rain last night and everything was good. Sad to hear Mitchel is missing the tractor pull with my dad tomorrow night... think my dad was a little disappointed:( but their will be plenty more pulls coming up.
So tonight we were off to the OLD SPAGHETTI FACTORY for supper, the kids were excited about going there since we didn't get a chance to go there on our last trip here... we all had spaghetti of course... it ROCKED... so yummy!!!! Yep totally crashed in on my WW plan... but back on track when we get home and lots of exercising until my bones hurt!!!! to work it all off!
So its been a VERY long day and I'm ready to crash, hope you are all well!!! Can't wait to see home again:)

Well today was a good day, our cabin stay ended today ... The boys and I spent the day hanging out at the cabin, I had to clean it up and wash bedding and get our laundry done before we came into Denver for the next few days. It was sad to go but I look forward to being in Denver the next few days while Jer does his thing...
This is where we stayed up until now, it was WONDERFUL!!!! I am so appreciative to Jer's friend for letting us use his cabin, it was incredible! It was a very relaxed trip!! I could come here anytime... it beats the 2 bedroom apt. living we got going on right now but in time we will be in our new house :)
Check out the cabin... it was AMAZING!!!

So tonight we packed up the Higlander and came into Denver, we will stay here for the rest of our trip... We took the kids to Casa Bonita's tonight... what a COOL and FUN place for the kids! They loved it... the food was ok but the entertainment made up for all of that. Its an experience you won't forget! If you ever get the chance to go there... DO IT!! The boys were amazed by the high diver, it was COOL! We got a "jail photo" done... its quite funny but its a memory that wont be forgotten :)
So after supper and entertainment we headed to our hotel, we are at a Holiday Inn close to 16th St. (which is the main strip) and its within walking distance to PING so its all good. Tomorrow I am venturing off with the boys to SIX FLAGS, hope it goes smoothly, kinda nervous since the older boys will be going on rides themselves, and I will wait for them with Blade... just hope there is enough for Blade to ride and do as well... just worry that Blade may get upset when the boys go off onto a ride and he can't go... hopefully it will go smoothly.
So here we are at the hotel now... quite the change from a TON of beds to two beds... interesting change :) can't have it all, right? Kids are wound for sound... geesh! hopefully they will mellow out soon and get some sleep, LONG day ahead tomorrow.
Hope you are all well back at home, think of you often!!
