Hello out there everyone :) I'm back ... sorry its been awhile!
Well today was Mr. Blade's 1st day of Preschool... he was SO SO happy to go to the "big boy school", a little hestitant when we pulled in the parking lot but then he was ok once we got out and started walking in... he was proud to carry his bookbag and his little toys he also seemed to carry in as well... sense of comfort I guess :) No tears shed, he helped me unpack his bookbag breifly and off he was to play with the toys... happy and sad for me... happy that he is happy but sad because he's my baby... and starting school just means "the time goes faster" with them... so I went to run a few errands to change thoughts for a bit... and didn't really want to go home to a quiet apt... but once I got home I did cry :( when I doing laundry and washed Blade's "blankie"... where does the time go? So how did Blade's day go... it went well... he was VERY happy when Issac and I picked him up carrying his bookbag... its bigger than him I swear... but its SO cute! Anyhow I was asking him about his day and Issac was complaining about "how much homework he had tonight"... and Blade perks up and says " I have homework too mommy" so, once we were inside the apt. he was immediately opening his bookbag and getting papers out and had a pen already to write on the "notes" that were inside his bag... it was priceless!!!
Backing up a few days now... on Friday... I did some catch up work, and went and looked at a few things for the house, Tammy from Cranberry Hollow called... my dishes were in so I went to get them :) so excited... pink and green dishes for the kitchen :) Friday night Jer and I went out for the evening... went to Houlihans of course... too bad our waitress SUCKED... kept screwing up our famous nacho order... and she just got really pissy with Jer... but Jer patched things up with her by leaving her a $12 tip... crazy I know but just ask for the details in person :)
Mitchel played a good game of soccer on Saturday... I didn't get to see it, stayed behind with the two other boys so they could sleep in since it was a "bright and early birder"... he played GOALIE, and they won 2-1... so he was very happy about the win :) the first win for the DYERSVILLE season. Saturday afternoon and part of Sunday and Monday, Jer and I worked up at the house, he worked on sanding and sealing the bedroom floors... 3 out of 4 rooms are complete :) I wanted to do some "personalizing paint work" at the house so I got some things done... the biggest job was painting a soccer ball onto Mitchel's wall... turned out pretty good... I'm happy with it... thanks to a projector helping me out :) it wasn't too bad. Later on in the day on Saturday the boys went to the farm for awhile... kinda a yucky day... so not much motorbiking for Issac but he still enjoyed the farm. Saturday night Jer and I met up with Jason and Billy and were off to see "BEERFEST", was hoping a few others would join us but it was nice just to get away for a bit. We had supper at Red Robin and made a run to Starbucks before the show, the movie was flippin' hilarious!!! It was great!!!
What crazy weather over the weekend thou... rain off and on... ICK! I just want to enjoy the cool fall days coming... my favorite time of year! Go figure it always seems to rain on Labor Day weekend... Monday Jer and I did a few things at the house and then we went to do some returns to Menards, and ran to Lowes to get some tool boxes for Issac's room (going to use those as his dressers) hope it all comes together the way I vision it :) and did the Target and HyVee run... the Highlander was FULL... WOW!!!
Plans for the week ahead... keep working on the "potty training" with Blade... so far its going well... amazingly well since he like didn't care 2 weeks ago to go at all... think he knows now if he doesn't go he can't go to school... so hope that is the trick. (Also he is becoming Mr. Independent too... today he totally wanted to dress himself... and open the peanut butter by himself... gosh he is such FUN!!!!) Hope to start moving bedrooms by the end of the week... if closets are done soon. Definatly going to start setting Issac's room up since we have his bed, dressers and majority of the things for his room.
Mitchel has LOTS of soccer this week... but is fun! running keeps me young, right? Blade's 2nd day of PreSchool is on Thursday... and I will be hanging out at Cranberry Hollow on Friday... if you are in town stop in and see me :) Weekend we have Jer's cousin's wedding... just busy busy... but its the Miller way :)
Hope this finds you all well!!!
