Monday Monday

What a icky Monday... rainy and cold :(

The weekend passes us, we had my niece, Morgan's First Communion yesterday. It sure turned out to be a nice day for them.
She looked SO CUTE! in her little white dress. I can't believe how much she is growing considering she was "our little miracle premie baby" when she was born but you would never guess that today :) After the little party they had for her we trucked out to the farm, we took litl' Harley with us. We went for a little ride on the gator... which Blade LOVES to do!

So not much else happened this weekend. Low key! Friday night, Jer and I went to DBQ to get a few things and out for a bite to eat, I helped Tam at the store on Saturday, she was busy so it was nice to have a extra hand available. Sat. evening we attended Jer's cousin's wedding... it was out it the middle of NOWHERE!!! jeesh! It was nice to see all of the family again.

Update on my table project... well I got two chairs and the table complete. The chairs were some work!! lots of sanding had to be done to them but its turning out just as I imagined so thats good :) I am excited to get it in the living room!

Not a whole lot new here with us... things going pretty good with Harley. Yesterday we took her probably on the longest walk yet, which wasn't too far but she did really well and its sure is funny she knows when she is "home" by our street and runs for the yard. Potty training is continuing to be a working process but its getting better each day.

Our boys... Issac is back riding, he is loving every minute of it too!!! Love to see him happy at what he loves the most! Mitchel is back full force in soccer, 1st game is this weekend, and track practice is on too... so he's a busy boy! Think the boys are going to take on a paper route in town which will be good for both of them and earning a little cash will be nice for them :)
Blade... I can't wait for it to get nice out so he can get outdoors... its been a LONG winter and he's turned into a tv and video game boy... so its time for it to get nice out :) He continues to say the CUTEST things... his newest thing is "telling secrets"... is so DAMN CUTE!!!

Well, I am at the shop today so I best get back to doing something productive... not sure what since I got the order marked already for today and well... its raining out so no one is out shopping... its just going to be a rainy Monday...

Until next time... enjoy your week ahead :)

Lit'L Harley

Here's the latest picture of Harley. Today so far was a good day, only one accident :) It's getting better!! YEAH!!

Finally...

Here we are... this is going to be our new dining room table. A good friend of mine found it for me. I've been looking for quite awhile for a "round black" sturdy table! Well in today's world most of them if you buy are junk :( so I had my friend Janice out looking for an older table for a while and well she came upon one :) it will be black. It has 6 chairs that came with it, I haven't decided if I am going to paint all of them yet or not. I do like the look of a table with 2 black wooden chairs mixed with two captian black leather chairs... so its up in the air yet. But I am really excited about it and just want to get it painted and poly'd so that has been a huge job for me to work on this week with many other things going on :) Never a dull moment here!!!

I also helped my sister, Madonna "spruce" up her home for First Communion this weekend. WOW now her house looks different. We used a lot of what she had and just "re" grouped it all with a few new things. I am very pleased how it all came together. My favorite room I did was the basement bathroom for Liana... turned out very cute! We did it in a "girly/sports theme".

Now its time to get "sprucing" my house... well I should say decorating my house! I just am in no hurry since I want to be sure with what I want going on in the areas needed to be decorated. The dining room will be a good start for me since the table put it in perspective for me :) Is your house ready for Spring??? I LOVE this time of year!!!!!!!!

On to next area of my life... hows Harley? She is GREAT! We love that little girl to death! She is definitely going to be spoiled!!!
Today was her first walk with mommy ;) we didn't go far since its "too cold" out for her. She hates the cold!!!! Yesterday when it was snowing... she didn't deal with that well :( felt bad for her! The kids are adjusting more and more to her, still hesitant to play with her because they are afraid of the accidents she may have. The potty training is going just ok. Yesterday was a day from hell :( sorry Tory! We're probably letting you down... Hoping today will go much better since its nice out, only time will tell. Over all she is WONDERFUL! The vet appt on Wednesday went good, she was very good! She loves to go in the car :)
For those of you who haven't seen or met her yet, please stop in she is a social butterfly :) My nephew Carson is dying to see her so he is coming to spend the night with us tonight, Blade is SO excited!!! This will be Blade's 1st sleep over.

Well I best get back to work before the weekend is here... looks like its going to be nice out! Harley will love that!!!

Enjoy your weekend, Spring has sprung :)

Just a cute picture :)

Blade says "Happy Spring!" He can't wait to get his bike and his new power jeep outside and go riding!
I joined Blade this am for a little tea party they had at school, it was SO cute! I really enjoyed it!!
Gosh I can't believe he's going into Kindergarten next year... where does time go??

Harley with her furry brother Buzz

So here I have it a few pictures of the newest Miller :) with Buzz. They are getting along o.k. for the most part. Harley seems to really want to be playful with Buzz but he's just not interested, which is ok for now but do hope they can be buddies later on.

Its been going really well with her, a few accidents but we can live with those, just need to keep figuring out what is going to work. I think I will be calling Tory now that Easter has past us for a few suggestions.

Jen, I know you have been thru this with many years ago with Simba and Shadow. Do you have any suggestions?

Enjoy the pictures :) We absolutely LOVE her!!!!!

Harley "Davidson" Miller

Its a "GIRL" !!!!!

We adopted a little 8 week boxer Friday night, about 6:30 pm. Her name is Harley. She is mainly all white and brindle (brown) on her ears. She is SO SO cute! very very tiny for her age from what we've been told but give us time and we hope to fatten her up a bit.

I really didn't expect to get a puppy so soon especially like YESTERDAY!! , but I believe it was meant to be... because without asking what color the puppies were when I talked with the gal on the phone ... I assumed they were mostly Brindle which is most common in the Boxers.
Well little to my surprise when the owners arrived at our house they hopped out of the car and were ALL WHITE! I about died!!! but was in LOVE at the same time so well... it was the beginning of our little girl's life :) Jer actually spotted her first, which was cool.

I did meet with Tory (our trainer) that we are going to be working with much earlier in the day and went over the questions and concerns I had, very good conversation and he prepared me more on knowledge. He's great!!!!! The funniest part of yesterday was... I specifically told Tory when I met him " I wasn't going to be the owner and not be prepared, I was going to have everything I needed before we brought a puppy home " WELL... WOW we were in the "ratio" now of the pet owners who weren't prepared :( but Jer and I made a trip to Dbq. and got what we needed for her first night with the help of her food supply from Tory. Thanks Tory!!!

Harley 1st night in the crate went pretty well. She wimpered and cried when we first put her in for awhile then was sound asleep. We left for a bit again to meet some friends since we already had plans... when we got home she was sound asleep looking SO SO cute. She heard us so she cried for like 15-20 mins and was ok, she slept until like 7:30 a.m. So it went good the first night. YEAH! Today's she's been great with a few accidents but that will get better with time. She likes to ride in the car, LOVE THAT!!

I just wanted to post a little about her and hopefully I will post a picture tomorrow of her. She's a little honey!!!

Happy Easter to you all!

Teenagers!

Yes I am a mother of a "official teenager"! MItchel turned 14 on Monday and jeesh I feel like I've been hit with a ton of bricks!!
No he did not get his drivers permit yet but that will happen in a few weeks... SO NOT ready for that either :(

ok so his birthday was Monday, on Tuesday we (Jer and I) got him his present that he wanted... which was a drum set! CRAZY I know!! We got him a beginner set and jeesh I'm about ready to throw it out the window everytime its struck with a stick... just CRAZY LOUD! and its set up in our addition... so it echos throughout the house!!

Teenage hormones kicking in! THINK SO! Tonight I about lost my cool. I went for a drink with a friend to get out of the house for a bit, Jer is in NY until tomorrow... Mitchel calls me all in a frantic...because Issac's friend Quinton was chasing him and his friend Danny with a stick... whelp... whatever!! GOSH drama!!!!!!!!!! Thought the world was gonna end the way he sounded on the phone... then I get here and everybody acted like nothing happened... oh I was PISSED! Swear sometimes these boys act like girls... drama drama drama!! So then its like 10ish... town curfew is 10! I told Mitchel to come in the house and he got all bullheaded... ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What am I in for in the years to come ?? So not ready for these days coming upon me.

Oh and did I forget to mention he has a little gf now too? YEAH! Flipping out about that a little! Had the little talk with him about
1st crushes, 1st "love", and reminded him that he is only 14! The little gal he is dating happens to be our LONG TIME babysitter, Molly's younger sister, sweet girl but they are both young and they need to remember that. Oh to be young again... huh?

Boy I just can't go anywhere leaving teenage boys home alone... when will the babysitting ever stop? Molly I guess I may have to hire you for a lifetime :) ... SERIOUSLY! when do you learn to let go and let them work out their little drama situations like big boys? Issac is only 12 and somedays I honestly think he handles situations far better than his older brother... can't kids just be kids and have fun these days without drama?

Ok so I'm done ranting about teenage drama... what's been going on here? well a whole lot of nothing! I've actually been kinda laid back this week and frankly LAZY :( I finally did some heavy duty cleaning today and some laundry catch up... have it all washed and folded... but needs to be all put away... I'll get that done tomorrow. Other news? Easter weekend is coming up I think Jer and I are taking the kids away for the weekend... not sure on destination but we are going somewhere. This is the last weekend for Sundown so the kids will close that chapter until next season... kinda sad for them since they both love it SO much!

Next week... soccer practice resumes as well as track practice starting for Mitchel... hello busy busy Spring for the Miller's!
Tomorrow I am meeting with Tory to talk "puppy" I'm so so excited to get this process rolling! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!
The boys may hit Sundown tomorrow... they haven't decided for sure yet... weather pending as it sounds too now... HOPE HOPE we don't get any snow!!!

Until I blog again, wish you all a great Easter weekend! and hope the Bunny finds you all!!!

Lordy Lordy!

What a whirlwind of a day! Today was Friday... first day for me to work at SPRING OPEN HOUSE at the store, wasn't as crazy as I thought it would be but it was a very nice flow throughout the day. The place looks ROCK STAR!!!, if some of you haven't seen it for the "spring" look yet, make the effort to stop in! Its amazing! Tammy put many many hours into it the last few months to make it PERFECT!

Weekends like these make me miss my store a little bit... I get the "humble" feeling... and just lost for some thoughts sometimes but I know it was for the best for me and my family... but that store will always be with me! Had many good times with it!

Ok so yesterday I ventured up to LIttle Red, quite the disappointment that was :( just not cute anymore! We are truly spoiled by Tam's store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nothing beats it! SERIOUSLY girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then I got back, Jer and I went to a meeting at school for Issac... awh man! Things will be ok though, he just needs to get out of the "rut" he is in with math and putting a little more effort into his school work... Last night I went to the shops with Abby and my sista, Madonna. WOW that was quite the change being on the other side of the counter and being a customer again... I haven't done that in YEARS in this town... but I did it, got brave and went into my "EX" business partner's store... HOW WEIRD was that? VERY but it went ok I had Abby at my side :) supporting me! Then ventured to the church ... SUPER WEIRD but that went ok... TOP store in Cascade by FAR is dear old CRANBERRY HOLLOW! nothing beats it!!!! Right girls????

So what else is new? not a whole lot. My friend, Janet has a new candle line available now at the store. Its called "Cascade Candles" and they are WONDERFUL, she has two different kinds... the "historical series" and the "everyday series". VERY COOL I think!!! So ladies and gentlemen... need a great gift... check them out :)

SPRING coming??? gosh I hope so! I wanna get our new puppy soon! Tory, lets move this process along! I'll call you this week!!!! now that I have your biz card :) with your mobile phone no ... I have bought 3 books and a magazine and have been doing my research on these pups... get more and more excited when I read more and more! SO looking forward to it and taking him or her for a few walks a day :)

ok, its late and I need to hit the hay! SUPER BIG day at shop tomorrow... all hell will break loose tomorrow and be SUPER busy!!!! Get out and enjoy the day tomorrow its supposed to be beautiful!!!!!!

Monday...Monday... time change...

Happy Monday to those who hate Mondays :) ... and for this time change stuff... I think its dumb! was not ready to get up this am... was up shortly after Jer left for airport... leaving at 5ish a.m.

My weekend went fast. WOW where did it go? Friday lets see what did I do? Helped at Tammy's most of the day doing odds and ends to help her get ready for this upcoming weekend, its her Spring Open House. Friday night I spent a nice quiet evening with just my hubby... we went for dinner and a quick run to Target. Simple night but I really enjoyed it... since that was the first time being with him since he got back :)

Saturday, boys hugged around at home, Mitchel was gone for the weekend, Jer did some work and I went to the store for a bit.
I came home did a few things and took a nice LONG nap to catch up from the week... when Jer is gone, I usually don't sleep worth a crap! So it caught up to me ;( Saturday evening we stayed in town and went to listen to the music at the Bent, its was o.k. ... very country! but it was still fun, always a great crowd to chat with and we enjoyed hanging out with Tam and Wolfe.

Sunday rolled around, we all slept in til 12p.m. ish, CRAZY but we did! We made our usual breakfast with the kids and then tried to plan "movie Sunday" but there really wasn't anything in for Blade to see... so then Jer ended up just taking Issac into a movie.
I hung at home with Blade... he "taught" me how to play "HALO" ... and we watched his newest 'favorite' movie SNOW BUDDIES, its really cute! Later in the afternoon Mitchel returned home from his BIG weekend and he crashed hard with doing his "catch up homework". We made homemade pizza and breadsticks... SURE WAS YUMMY! If I say so myself, we are getting it down pretty good :) ... but we do buy the crust now though... but its STILL YUMMY!!!!

Today I ran our truck in for its maintance... took 2.5 hours! CRAZY! Didn't want to be at the mall that long, I seriously was "Getting enough" of the mall! Yeah ME, I was! I just wasn't in the mood I guess to be out that long! Had a mile long list of things I wanted to get done at home and I had errands to run while I was in DBQ... well that got shot down pretty quick!
Oh well... life goes on!

Not much to blog about but I did it :) so I'm happy! Wish you all a great week!!!!! Looks like we are going to get warm weather!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!

Blah water leaks... basement problems ;(

Another day full of surprises... after having a BIG surprise yesterday.

Yesterday afternoon... I happen to go down to Jer's office to take bills down and get some paper for the printer... well I slide Jer's door open to a BIG mess! at least 3" of water thru out his floor... everywhere! WHAT a mess! No equipment got damaged... THANK GOD! a few totes got wet, and the picture from the Tigges :( was very SAD to see that!

So that was the BIG ordeal yesterday but we got the shop vac going... just couldn't find pieces to the damn thing! So my dad got me a small new one for these kind of incidents! Where is the water coming from? That hasn't been determined yet ... we think its the small opening under the side steps... but I'm not 100% convinced since it wasn't wet at all over by the steps.

What else happened yesterday? Hrm... oh I found the floor back in my closet :) I was a HAPPY girl when that was accomplished... all the crap went from my closet to a HEAPING pile on my bed... then back into the closet organized! What a great feeling!
Did you ever feel like you are married to your clothes at times? and just love to wear certain things? I have a SICKNESS I love clothes and love to mix my clothes up to give it new looks. I am so sick I have it all color cordinated... oh and I have a SHOE issue too, OH MAN! didn't realize I had that many shoes... hate to say this but Jer was right :( but a woman can never have enough shoes, right? Purses! Don't even go there with me! TERRIBLE HABIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But hey I have to "try to look good"!! right? Its like they say you either have it or you don't... but what about being a dress-ohlic... is there such a thing? I should have a medical alert for it if there is!

Anyhow today was an ok day... I was down at Tammy's shop and well... got a text message from Janet ( our finishing lady) saying that "we had water by the furnace" ... and then the next msg... was "and you will need a plumber" ... I was thinking OH GREAT! Here we had a "pin hole" in a 90* angle... but its all better now but I was 'flippin my tator tots' when I saw the msg... thinking WHAT NOW?????? But its all better now...

Whats up for tomorrow? not sure if I could handle another leak, water problems, or anything related to going wrong! Jer comes back tomorrow, YEAH!!!! Mitchel took off tonight to Grandma and Grandpa Steffen's. He and Grandpa and several guys are going to ILL. to a indoor tractor pull for the weekend. Mitchel is a DIE HARD of tractor pulling like my dad... dad is feeling pretty good due to all the excitement from last week. All test came back ok... so he's in full force :) for doing things again.
Tractor pulling? Hrm... I could never get into it but I am a girl... just not my thing! Think it would be BO...R..ING... but again I am a girl ... but Jer nor Issac like them either... I am happy however that Mitchel enjoys it, its a bonding thing between him and his grandpa :)

Ok I best get back to sorting, cleaning and put today's laundry away. Hope you are all having a good Wednesday!
Stay warm until Spring decides to come...

Howdy

Today is Monday... another day of no school for the boys... think that makes 13 days total that they have missed due to weather.
Mitchel was trying to tell me today that the last FULL week of school that they had was WAY back in early Nov. CRAZY huh?
So not much exciting happened today... was home with the boys, did some cleaning, laundry and all the normal stuff. I did do some SEWING today... I'll tell you about that in a bit... yeh I said sewing :)

We had a good weekend. Kinda laid back but it was nice. Kids hit the slopes at Sundown Friday night, Blade stayed home with Mol Mol, and Jer and I went to DBQ, he did some work while I did errands then we grabbed a bite to eat at Houlihans, its been awhile since we've been there. Saturday I helped Tam for a bit, Jer did some work. Boys stuck around home until it was time to go to Mitch's game... they played a good game. We had a family night and stayed home with the kids, watched a old movie from the 80's (POLICE ACADEMY) I love that movie! Sunday Jer left early for his trip for the week he gets back Thursday night.

So just the boys and I in the big house until he gets back, miss him lots already! So today after I cleaned for a bit, laundry run.
I sat down and did some sewing... going to try to make a quilt for Mitchel for 8th grade graduation using his older t-shirts and jeans that no longer fit. It won't be perfect but I'm trying new things :) I'm excited! My mom always did sewing when I was growing up and I was always interested in learning. I also hemmed my first pair of pants today. I'll post some pictures when I get further. The tricky part of making this... is the cutting and setting it up since all the shirts have "logos" on them and they go different directions ... argh! Not sure if I will have enough to do a twin size quilt so it just maybe a lap quilt.

Well, I'm going to close and go watch a movie with the boys, we're going to watch Uncle Buck. What a classic :)

Enjoy your day or evening!

A special "HELLO" to Mol Mol... glad to hear you still read my blog from time to time :)

CLEAN...

Hello out there!

Hope this finds you warm and snugged on a winter night ... BRR... cold out! I really hope it is Spring soon! Tired of the snow and ice, cold and all that comes with it! If you haven't travelled on Garfield St. (our street) DON'T! Its SUPER horrible... like seriously its like going down a really bad bad country road. SUPER HORID!

Anyhow since I last posted, happy to report my dad is doing ok, had a little bit of a scare again today, he was urinating LOTS of blood, so mom took him back in this am. They ran some test and now we'll just wait and see what they say. He did come home so that is good I guess...

So I've been keeping my mind busy as much as I can since dad got tired of me calling him on the hour... I am in the CLEAN mode! By the end of this weekend I hope to have every closet, cupboard, vanity, every nook in this house CLEAN!!! with the exception of the basement (that will need a little help from Jer) I went to town today and got 3 closets cleaned and organized... only 2 more to go. Cleaned the fridge, oven, and some of the kitchen cupboards tonight. All caught up on laundry! Yeh! I'm feeling good!

The BIG job is tomorrow when I clean my closet out! YIKES it just scares me thinking about it!!!! I have a purse and shoe and a big accessories addict! All those things make me happy though. Mel, I will keep you in mind tomorrow when I am going thru my necklaces :) I'm attached to most of them but I'm sure there will be a few I'll have for you :)

Kinda nice just sitting here doing absolutely nothing! Boys and Jer are way up in the attic... I'm sitting in kitchen and can't even hear them playing XBOX. VERY NICE! I like my quiet house more and more!

What else is new? Boys are all fired up about the last "late night" at Sundown tomorrow night. They have a big party, movies, treats, race competitions etc and open til 12am so they are pretty excited about that! Little Blade is getting to be a "VIDEO GAME ADDICT" seriously!! He now tells Issac and Mitchel how to get further along in the games... CRAZY! For Jer - he is off on a trip next week and will be traveling for a few weeks to come, so that is back in our lives, its all good here.

Our big family news... NO I"M NOT PREGNANT!! but we are looking at getting a family dog. I'm so so excited about this process! A little nervous but mostly excited!! Just hope our cat that we've for going on 7 years adjusts o.k. He is a big concern of our thru the process in getting the new addition to our family. We are looking forward to working with Tory Topping @ Stone Hollow Dog Training. Check out his website, www.stonehollowdog.com. I'll keep you all posted as we work forward on this process.

Close for the evening's blog and I hope you are all well!

Parents...

Today Jer and I were awoken with a frighten... saying my dad was in the hospital and was having ER surgery at 1 pm. Of course I immediately think the worst of two things... either he had a REALLY bad accident going to work (He works at Deere in DBQ) or he had a heart attack.... THANK GOD it was neither of the two!

So after we were awoken with shock... Thank you to Jason for coming to our house and waking us!! (my phone was charging downstairs... didn't have it upstairs with me)

I franticly call my sister back and find out what is going on... here my dad had been battling a "back ache" for quite sometime (a week) along with the Influenza cold thing that has been going around... anyhow point is my dad hadn't been feeling good for awhile...

He was taken in last night by my mom and brother inlaw, he could hardly walk and was bent over pretty bad in A LOTTA pain. Much to our surprise he was passing LOTS of blood and a rather large kidney stone. It was late when they took him in and didn't call anyone then until they knew what was going on... a little upset about that but I'll get over it.

So Jer and I got ready and since the roads were SHIT again!!! Jer took me in and I stayed with mom and watched them wheel dad into surgery. Just frightening to see anyone you love be in pain and go to surgery... ya know?

Surgery went good, about an hour, talked to doctor, he showed us my dad's "stone" (was probably the length of 3 small BB's put together) YIKES!!! something that small can cause SO MUCH PAIN! So after dad went to recovery they brought him back up to his room. He was feeling much better ... you could tell, he was back to his old self again :) with moderate pain.

He was released tonight and is home in his own bed... a little shocked that they sent him home but like they say "healing time is best spent at home". So its all good but gosh let me tell you WHAT A DAY!!!

It really hit me hard today just "not knowing" for the 4-5 mins I waited to hear back from my sister this am.

My dad is at high risk for heart conditions, he is a diabetic, high blood pressure. He's had a much better handle on his health these last two years then he has ever had but doesn't change the factors that he is still at risk.

My dad is SO much a part of my life, I'm his "baby girl" and really want to have him around for many many years to come and just knowing everyday he is getting older scares me!!!! So thankful everything went good today!!

Just hard for me to believe that my parents are getting older and that thought of that really scares me!!!!!!

Thanks to all of you who offered food, help with the boys. It meant a lot just knowing you were thinking of us!

Love you all!

Another day of NO SCHOOL...

Here we are TUESDAY, 2nd day of the week... and kids were home again... NO SCHOOL :( Wow at this rate they may be going all of June... sure hope not!

The older boys went and hit the slopes at Sundown, Jer braved the roads and took them in. He said they weren't horrible but weren't great either... Blade and I stuck at the homefront. I made soup for supper tonight, Cheesy Potato and Chicken Noodle.
Did some laundry and minor cleaning, not a whole lot of productivity but... felt good doing what I did do today, mainly hung out with Blade today.

When the boys get back to school I will finish doing those "JOBS" I want to do when they are gone... just so much easier :) Our attic is screaming "organization" to me!!! SO... if they do go back to school this week I will be on to that.

I am so ready for SPRING! I want to see the green grass again :)

Not anything exciting to blog about but I did it :) YEH

Hope you all are having a good week!

Mother/Son

Mitchel and I in Washington

I'm back :)

I know I know I've been TERRIBLE blogging this year so far :(

I will do my best to sum up the events of my life lately... ok here we go!

Survived going into January with much activity...but just leave it with the highlights! I went on the 8th grade Washington trip with Mitchel. It was truly a wonderful time with him and had a great group of kids, if I would have to describe the trip in one word it would have to be "humbling". I am so glad I went even though I dreaded the 18 hour bus ride to and from... but it was all worth it! Just spending that time with Mitchel will be forever in my heart, he really is a wonderful kid!!

Ok... so what else? We celebrated two BIG birthdays in the house going into Febuary. Issac turned 12 on the 2nd. Had a great day with him. It was the first time since I can remember that he actually cuddled with his momma :) It was kinda nasty on his birthday so didn't do a whole lot, just took him out for supper and opened gifts... and surprised him with a FUNNY cake... it was the only cake I could find... it was "HANNAH MONTANA". It was funny because for years Issac had a "crush" on her... but he made it clear to me " mom, that crush is over" he told me when he saw the cake. LOL!!
Ok so now on to Blade's 5th birthday on the 7th, a day he didn't have school so Jer and I soaked it all up! Spent the day with him and took him for lunch, did a little shopping, got home just before the older boys got out of school, and then took off for
"CHUCKIE CHEESE" since that is where Blade wanted to go. Very relaxed day but enjoyable. I just can't believe he is 5 already!!!!! He's my baby!

Ho hum... so that brings me pretty much up to date. Did you all enjoy Valentine's day? Needless to say I was SICK :( YEP!
I was sick pretty much from Sunday to Friday... Sunday to Thursday I hardly got out of bed :( Thank goodness my hubby was in town and was truly WONDERFUL to me all last week, he made sure the kids got to school, homework done, supper made, etc. He did really good! We did venture out a bit on Thursday for Valentines day, got some lunch and groceries to make my favorite lasagna for supper. It was a perfect day besides the fact I was sick... hardly any voice... nose running non stop... coughing... ya know but it was worth all of it because I was still with the love of my life :)

Jer spent $$ on beautiful roses... and now I look at them and they make me sad :( they sure were beautiful and they bloomed and well now they are going to wilt away soon :( just makes me sad! I will enjoy them until they are gone though.
another great thing... we had a great weekend, Jer took me out of town Friday night, his brother Eric came to stay with the boys... It was a great "PICK ME UP" I'm feeling much better even though I am stuffy and coughing yet but it was just nice getting away.

Ok... this snow crap can go away anytime! SERIOUSLY! GHAD! I like snow for like the first pretty snow fall then thats about it!
After that I can't stand it! When will it go away? We were drifted in... snow all the way past our Hybrid bumper... this is nuts!!
Did not go anywhere yesterday... boys were stuck at the farm until last night... no snow plows went out until 6pm. CRAZY!

It's here 2008!

Its now year of 2008, and I'm finally BACK! Its been a LONG while!!

Happy New Year to all of you! May the best come to you all this year!

2007 was a good year to our family, we can only wish for 2008 to be as good or better :), right? A lot has happened in the last year with our home and hoping that 2008 can bring the final finishes to the amazing home we created, it really has been a great year when I look back.

Ok, now on to what? Gosh I don't even know where to begin?? GEESH! ok ok, first things first! We had our 2nd Annual Miller's New Years Eve bash, and all I have to say is WOW, Jer went all OUT and bought every kind of alcohol he could get his fingers on:) with a nice chunk of change, but that is not what its about really! It was amazing! We had a blast!!!! I am happy to report I made it past 12am... and went all the way until 6am. YEAH holy shit!!!!! It was SO much fun! Thanks to all of you who did come! We appreciate your friendship and looking forward to spending more good times with you this year, for those of you who didn't get to make it ~ well we missed you but maybe you'll join us next year.

Seriously Jer the party rocked! Good job!!!

Wolfe! Someone ratted you out, but dude, seriously thank you for saving my ass!!!!! I would of been out cold if you didn't!

Tammy you make a good little bartender! Dustin, your soup was amazing!!!
Janice, I'm sorry but I didn't get to taste your soup yet but maybe tomorrow?? Marty and Kris, thank you for coming, it was so nice to see you both!!! and Kauder! WOW you really made my night by showing up! Billy ... hrm you were a little late... but I hear the "red jello shots" were for me... thats sweet but pal... I didn't have any! oh then there is RON AND JENN!!!! thanks for making the trip out! you guys are so special to us!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kathy and Seth's dad, it was a REAL treat when you guys showed up! thanks for coming!!!! Please come back again for a "intellectual visit", when I'm sober :)

Mel and Jerry, sorry you left so EARLY! I felt SO BAD when you left!!! you could of crashed upstairs for awhile... just remember that for next year, ok and... there is always my brother Mike to call to, he will give anybody a ride at any time.) I felt bad you both crashed hard, hope you are both ok. Seth and Michelle, thanks for getting them home safely!

OK, a tid bit on Christmas! It was wonderful for the kids!!!! The only thing Blade truely asked for this year was a "RIDING JEEP" like the ONLY thing! so well we made it possible! It was completely adorable when he saw it for the first time, absolutely priceless! Please ask to see the video when you visit our house next :) For Mitchel and Issac... and my big kid Jer, well they were happy kids too! XBOX 360 and Rockband and well all the accessories to go with it. The ordinary Christmas family gatherings went as planned and were both very nice. It was just really nice to stay at home Christmas day with our kids... like the first time ever in the years we have been married that we've done this :) I just can't believe it here and gone already! GEESH!!!

So really this blog is getting really long ... so I just better post it. I have many many things I want to accomplish in 2008!

Happy New Year to you all!!!!!

oh gosh...

Well, its been awhile but I don't need to tell any of you that. I will just fill you in on the latest events of the Miller's.

Its holiday season and of course I stress out about ALL the details of Christmas! the decorating, all the parties, the $$, the whole "santa" thing, gift giving, family and friends and on and on. The last two weeks I have been a BIG BALL of stress!

I'm getting impatient with the whole house completion thing... just really thought we would be done for Christmas this year and well... we're NOT! so that is a BIG damper on Christmas for me :( and considering the fact that I'm usually all done Christmas shopping by now for kids and close to everyone including family and friends... and frankly I haven't even begun!! just getting worried that if I don't get started everything will be picked over and there will be nothing :( I know Christmas will still go on but it is a drag that I'm SO SO far behind!

I am also stressing out because this year I decided to have the "adult Christmas" party for my side of the family... and well its this weekend, Saturday night! I finally put the last of the decorations for Christmas up today on our main floor and cleaned like each room from trim to walls to floors completely... all washed and smelling fresh until the dust stirs up again... main floor is ready besides cleaning it once more before Saturday... tonight and tomorrow I will work on tidying upstairs... and getting a tree up in the attic and maybe widow's peak... we'll see how much time is left after I have the house the way I want it before then... and not to mention getting food and beverages and all that jazz ready too... SO MUCH TO DO! I also have like 10 loads of laundry to do ... so far behind on that!

Ok so enough whinning! good things? the snow, I like snow and seeing the kids play in it. Issac is totally clearing a jump they made... by like 4-5ft in the air, has no fear! Blade loves to go outside in the snow, he's so cute when he's bundled up. Hey Mel... can I get you to make a few scarves for him? The older boys have been to Sundown a few times already and loving that too of course!

How many trees did I get up? well i'll have close to 14 when I'm done... thats if I get a tree up in the Widows peak, the kids have been begging and would like to get it done just not sure how to do it so you can actually go up there too... I love all the trees and the lights, its just a happy warmth feeling to me, but each tree has its own look and feel. Really stumpted this year on which is my MOST favorite, they all turned out for the most part how I visioned. No tree in the addition yet and not sure there will be one.

SO I best get back to being productive, lots to do! Hope you are all well.

LONG TIME

Hello out there!

I know I know its been forever!!!!!!!!! I didn't even look to seen when my last blog was... oh well, life goes on.

Now that I had another birthday pass, and on to 33 I go... WOW!! I'm getting old! The birthday was good and celebrated it with close friends a week later, a good time! Thank you all for joining us for the night!

What's new in Lis Lis's world. Well this week Jer is off to San Fran until Saturday am. Boys are well!! Growing but well! I've been BUSY BUSY working at Tammy's when I can, decorating at home for Christmas now, I helped a lot with the family that lost their home due to a fire, trying to get Christmas shopping done here and there... I'm not even close to being done :( but its ok... maybe Jer will just do it all this year :)

This week though I have been batting a head cold... very bad sore throat. I should probably see a doctor if I'm not feeling better by the end of the week... we'll see.

Blade officially knows his ABC's now, he said the whole thing tonight I was SO proud of him! He can also count to 20.
He is still not a morning person... so its a struggle to get him to school on time, but thats o.k. since he has his whole life of school coming for awhile. Mitchel and Issac are dying to get to sundown this weekend... maybe there will be snow and maybe not...

Tis the season!! Got your trees up? Oh I'm on a good path... got all the trees up in the bedrooms and done :) working on main floor right now, think I have 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, still working on 8... so by the time I am done I may have 13-15 trees up both big and small throughout the house. Much more than last year and I am excited for it... but ghad... lots of WORK and thinking :) but its worth it! If the addition gets done soon... maybe there will be a tree out there... who knows at this point. Its the time to be festi', right??? Need to work on getting the kids tree up in the with all their ornaments that they have collected over the years... just need to figure out where that tree will go???

Well, its time for me to close, I will post again soon...

My Heart Seriously Aches!

Well first and for most, I'm feeling very sad, hurt and completely lost of words for a family today.

This particular family is fairly close to our family through my neice and through our 1st Cascade soccer league this past fall. They lost their home this a.m. due to a fire, gone and nothing left except for the clothing on their backs. For all of my readers please PRAY for them, if you have anything you would like to contribute wether it be a peice of furniture, toiletries, kitchen items, groceries, a cash donation, gift cards, ANYTHING! would be helpful for this family to get back on their feet.

I'm not going to blog a whole lot in this entry because I am just lost for words, I just seriously ache for this family.
I will never forget calling my sister and the feeling I got when she told me and I am still sick to my stomach. Truely awakes your whole perspective on everyday living and those you are surrounded by each day.

Make sure you are telling your children, loved ones everyday how much you love them!

Love you all!!
