I'm back...

I'm back. Not sure what to post... but well feel like I should :)

Not much new here at our house. Blade was home sick all last week with a mix of the flu bug and a cold. He did go back to school on Friday which was nice to see. I was sick Tuesday with a little bug... and now today I'm coming down with a head cold :(
Feel it coming on pretty strong... ugh this weather I'm telling you I'm tired of it ;(

The older boys finished 3rd quarter last week, got report cards today. They could be doing much better!!!... so we were a little disappointed with their grades so "treats" like cell phones and internet will be taken away starting this week... onto a good note.. I can't believe how well litl' Blade can read, its just amazes me :)

Our boys have a "indoor skatepark" in our downtown building... yes its true! Recently they were told they could no longer
skate or skateboard thru town so ... until the outdoor skatepark is done they will be hanging out there. It keeps them out of "further damage" with the city authorities...

Other news, we had a nice Valentine's day weekend a few weeks ago. Went to Houlihan's of course for supper:) always yummy there! Jer and I got to spend the day together... we went "camper browsing", yes we are venturing out this summer and looking into going camping with the boys. Just exploring options at this time but in order to get me to camp... its going to have to be some type of camper... I'm not a tent person :( So if anyone knows of someone who's selling a camper... reasonable $$ let us know.

Ok so up to par on the weight loss damage. I've been struggling but I am making a little head way!

**This will be day 5 of no pop for Lis! I'VE BEEN DRINKING A c. of COFFEE EACH A.M. it keeps me satisfied...
**I'm actually following a daily ritual of activities! WII FIT keeps me motivated... stepped on it for the first time... and well
I SWELLED up BIG! what a MOTIVATOR :) I want to see that person shrink away!!! Funny because when Blade steps on it... he's underweight... and well I'm NOT!!
**I've lost a total of 7.3lbs so far... so I'm making head way to those 55lbs I want to loose!
**NOW when I thought the weather was getting nice I could walk outside... well not the case yet so hitting it hard on the
treadmill the last few days.

I really want to be my ideal weigh by the end of summer.. or early Fall. I've got a few budd(ies) doing this with me... so
hope we can help each other out on the way :) LETS GET ROCKIN'!!!!! Cuz next April... I wanna go to Mexico!!!!


Dumb blog but I was SUPER bored!!!!

Hello

Ok so I slacked in the last week or so, just been busy trying to get my house back in order after all the Christmas decor down :)
I can honestly say ITS ALOT of work to take down than to put up... but I'll be where I want to be by the end of the week... YEAH!!

So not much new at our house. Jer continues to stay busy with work, our boys are enjoying the "getto park" at the building... they created a 'indoor skatepark :) yes crazy but they sure enjoy spending time up there. Issac was in a spelling bee today and placed 4th so that I am very proud of him! Next week he will turn the BIG 13 :) Blade is Blade just enjoys life to the fullest! He is going to turn 6 and he is SO SO excited about that :) Its pretty cute!

Over the weekend, Blade and I went to the dedication of the new building at Aquin, its truly amazing what we have created for our kids! Its just humbling to see the chapel and all the new space added to the school. I am so glad our family is a part of the Aquin community.

So I best wrap this little blog up and continue to clean my house... Gosh it just crumbles if I don't stay on top of it! Dishes and laundry are YELLING for me.

Ok so here we are and its finally warming up in Iowa... did you guys feel that heat wave come thru today? I am SO ready for spring!!! after this week my house will be too :) I can't wait to shut the furnace off and open the windows to fresh air :)

I had a productive day today, got up early, took kids off to school, ran into Dbq for a dr. appt and a few errands then I came home and was Hard Core cleaning! My main floor is springing SPRING and that feels damn good! I'll finish basement area tomorrow.

WOW we had a great weekend celebrating a good friends birthday!!!! It was great FUN! I although had TOO TOO much to drink!!!! I'm laying off alcohol for a LONG while!!!!!!

Hard to believe my Issac will be 13 on Feb. 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where does time go?


not much to blog today so I'll close with that! I know LAME blog!!!! but its something :)

Hugs and More Hugs

Oh my! I really thought the boys would be at home today, but they only had a 2 hour delay. Mitchel was actually "happy" there was school today :) because if there wasn't then he would have to make his semester test up... He is going tractor pulling with my dad this weekend... they are off to Gordiville or something like that?

So I must share... Blade is a DOLL when taking him to school. He has this "routine" of HUGS and kisses before he will let me leave the building... its PRICELESS because someday he will grow up and he won't want that anymore... ya know? I think today I got at least 6 hugs before leaving, he's just LOVES life!

Well, I made a promise to myself to try to blog everyday in 2009 as well as updating my facebook ... I'm trying thats all I can promise. Not much of a blog today but its something :) I best get back to cleaning my disaster of a house... got Christmas shit everywhere! I'll be SO happy when its all put away!!

Ok... so I'm a little late but HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you! May the best come to you in 2009!

I hope this blog finds you all doing well in 2009! I had a productive day today... my house is starting to see the normal days again... only two more trees to attack besides my real tree in our bedroom. I LOVE to decorate for Christmas but I am also sad to take it down... this year it just seemed to have passed so FAST :(

Not much new at our house, the older boys have semester test his week and will start a new semester on Thursday. Blade is finally getting back into the routine of going to school... he REALLY enjoyed his time off from school... actually TOO MUCH I think:) but thats ok too. Issac is going to be in a Spelling Bee later this month, he qualified for it so that is exciting :)

Jer left today for a short trip to Boston, he'll return Thursday evening. While he is gone I am really hoping to get things put back together here and well catch up from last week since I had a busy week last week.

We had a great weekend as well... enjoyed Friday night just hanging out at home watching a movie, Saturday we went to the annual Tigges Holiday party, it was a good time as usual :) Sunday we went to the Bent Rim Holiday party, that was a great time... but needless to say I was a little hung over this morning... I'm really getting too old for this shit ...


Really want the cold to go away... but I think its going to be around for awhile... until then I will enjoy tanning... just started back at that last Friday... YEAH!

15 trees and counting

hello family and friends,

I blog this as I sit in bed sick bored to death :( first I had a nasty cold and now I have the flu Blade just had. I can hardly talk or breathe yet but other than that I am GREAT :) I finished putting all my Christmas decor up last week. I am at 15 trees and only 3 of them are not complete yet... but the whole main floor and the basement is done. I just need to finish up Blade's tree and our tree and the furry kids' tree :)

This year I feel like I have OUT done myself but my house is "rock star" for Christmas and I LOVE IT!!!!!!! I can honestly say I don't have a favorite yet and I really thought it was going to be my addition tree that i liked the most... well I just really like how they all came together, the bar tree needs improvements for next year but I will have that put better together I hope, working on the supplies for that "better" for next year :)

Anyhow Christmas is by far the best time to clean your house... and then decorate! BECAUSE you take stuff down and clear the area and well if you are doing that then you might as well do the CLEANING part too... right? Then don't know about you guys but then once its clean... I am a NEAT FREAK about how things are done and how things get put away because I want my house to stay tidy so I can enjoy the lit up trees and such.

Ok so after I got all the trees up I decided to put up my village pieces that I have gotten over the years from my mom and dad at Thanksgiving every year for the last 12 years. Well mind you I haven't put it up since our last house... so its been sitting out in our 'shitty shed' buried ... I was completely freaking out when we couldn't find it... like a serious mess! I called my mom all in a panic and was really upset... then I felt like God turned his light on me and helped me relax a bit and well... we found it!!!!! what a huge relief! The man actually did something for me... it really feels great having my house complete with the holiday decor. I will post some pictures soon.


So how are all of you doing on the good ol' Christmas shopping? I have one child done out of my three. All of the nieces and nephews done but 1, need to finish both parents and do some other last minute things... not a whole lot left but enough.

Our holiday New Years Eve party will be here before we know it! Please if you haven't marked your calendar and cleared your night with a sitter PLEASE do it so you can come join us!!!! Our house Jan. 31 anytime after 7:30pm til ????? Hope most of you can make it. Our home looks more and more like a home this year so ... no crazy stuff :( can really happen this year... unless its in a UNFINISHED room. If you plan on staying the night let us know so I can make sure bedsheets and beds are open for you :)

1st room offically done

Here is my 1st tree I put up in the house this year. This tree means alot to me since its the 1st tree Jer and I bought together as a couple back in the day... I remember getting it too... it was like a $500 tree and Jer got it after Christmas at Younkers for like
$80 buckaroos.

We haven't put these tree up since we lived at our old house so I am happy its up this year.

Christmas trees have arrived :)

Ok, so I know its not even Thanksgiving but I have started on the Christmas decor of our home.

I have 3 trees up, one fully done and two to complete tomorrow... out of well lets see?? about 13 on our main floor and then I put
one in each bedroom ... hrm... don't think I am going to do the attic this year... but we'll see.

I don't have any pictures to post yet :( since I don't have pictures all taken and uploaded... but I promise they will come.
I absolutely LOVE Christmas... but is it my favorite? Its really a toss up for me... cuz I love decorating for Fall too!

How many of you started on the good ol' shopping? I'm off to a good start, after putting up some trees it got me in the mood... cuz heck... those trees need presents to sit under them, right?? I got Jer's nieces DONE, and my nieces and nephew done :) so that feels pretty good! 6 gifts complete... just need to get them wrapped.

Ok... so onto other things. I had a GREAT birthday a few weeks back, just chilling with close friends and having a nice supper with them. THANK YOU all for making it special!!! Jer and the boys totally surprised me with a gift this year. I now have an ITOUCH (IPOD) and well I LOVE IT!!! I use it all the time!!!! Its AMAZING, I carry my whole life with me everywhere now! It SERIOUSLY does everything I need it to do! From email, browse internet and my TO DO LIST and calendar... just EVERYTHING!! I love to show it off too :) I'm very proud of it. I was skeptical at first if I would really use it... but NO doubts now... that little thing is just AMAZING, I can't say enough about it. I got many other great gifts too, thank you all for who remembered my birthday!!!!

Not much else is happening. We went to parent teacher's conferences a few weeks back. Blade is dong AWESOME. His teacher really enjoys having him in class :) The conferences at the high school were interesting this year... the complete unexpected happened with one of Issac's teachers... what an experience that was :-/ I was completely dumbfounded after the shared conversation with this teacher... she basically didn't have one good thing to say about Issac :-( Nagged the entire conference...
Mitchel is doing o.k. but could be doing much better... so he is going to work extra hard this quarter and bring those few grades up to PAR!

Jer is extremely busy with work, working long LATE nights and hibernating in his office a lot in the last few weeks...
Its all good but little stressed for him at times :-(

The boys in this house are definately ready to hit the SLOPES! They are all set with their passes to Sundown... and getting anxious!!! Blade is excited cuz he will get to go ALOT more this year "as he would say"... TOO cute to listen to him talk about it sometimes.

Awh well that wraps it up for this entry... I best hit the hay LOT and LOTS to accomplish tomorrow!!!! want to be close to finishing trees by end of the week and heck I have MUCHO to do!!
